That's a very nice illustration and looks simple and cheap. How would you attach the piece of glass to the 1x2?

thanks I'm also trying to figure out secure windows for mine. May not look as spiffy. I have a source for scrap plexiglass and figure that would work as I can cut it to fit my windows but trying to figure out a secure simple way to keep them open and to close them. The framing and where to attach the hinges has been my dilemma.

I totally missed your reply! Thank you so much for the picture! I actually purchased those hinges but I have lift off hinges so the window can be removed completely when it's crazy hot outside (like now). Those hinges would keep me from removing the window. Are those your windows? They look fantastic!!!

I use a drapery tension rod to hold the back window of my 68 Airstream open, it allows you to tension it just right...

Interesting idea. Can you post a picture? Do you have to deal with high winds at all?
