Windy hill chickens - first flock(s) of my own

Peedie pullet egg again today. I did three trips from home to get all their waterers filled right up, so of course everyone avoided those and drank slimy rain from an abandoned empty feeder instead.

Spot the chicken..?

Buff Chick (who's maybe too dark to really be buff now?) is developing a habit of getting stuck in ridiculous places they should never have been able to fit into in the first place. That look says it all - my rescue services weren't at all appreciated and neither were my attempts to put them back down on the ground once we'd returned to the others

Try using a fur cap around the microphone.

There are special tools you can add onto a smartphone to reduce noises. If you seriously want to make outside videos its worth the investment.
Or if you have deep pockets, treat yourself on a new iPhone 16. It has a build in noise reduction filter.

Most interaction I've seen between these groups. The younger birds have always mostly ignored the oldest three so long as they're safely behind a fence.

Now the younger birds are in their teens it's like both groups have just suddenly realised there are other chickens the other side of the fence. The Sussex and Norfolk pullets have been showing more interest in the older three recently, and the big cockerel was wing dancing through the gate at one of the Sussex earlier today.

The big boys only started doing that a week or two ago and it's been funny watching the first clumsy attempts that looked like they weren't really sure exactly what they were trying to achieve, never mind how to go about it.

The chickening taking place on the other side of the fence didn't seem at all out of the ordinary to my simple human brain, but it attracted quite an audience this morning
