Here's one from our CL;

Americana Easter Eggers Eggs for sale-

I have eggs for sale that you can set for incubating or under a hen. The eggs are Americana Easter Eggers and also have some Barred Rock Easter egger mixed. The Easter eggers are colored eggs from Olive Green to Pink and Blue.


edited to say; yes I know Americana is spelled wrong but I thought the Barred Rock Easter Egger was funnier

I kept seeing this thread at the top of "Most Recent Posts" and I kept thinking to myself how does this complete chicken illiterate person keep getting so many replies??? So, curiosity finally got the best of me and now I see what all the fuss is about!!!

Ok. so I see everyone posting all these mispelled chickens on craigslist and I was beginning to think you all were making it up. Some of them were just way over the top. I just clicked on our eastern WV craigslist to check for various things farm and garden and found this

Question. This seems like the right place to ask. If it is often misspelled as OrPHingtons. Is it pronounced OrPington or OrFington? I've heard it both. But the guy that said it with an "F" sound also said "Legern" for Leghorns. So... I dunno???
