Wing amputation- methods??

Looking for insight from someone with experience in at-home wing amputation? Has anyone ever done this with a castration band for a bull calf? If so please do share the experience.

Yes, infection has set in. Green puss after disinfecting like crazy. Bone has broken through skin. Graphic pic attached

Thank you for taking the time to look for this thread. Helpful!! The turkey I am working with is about a week out from when I found it with a broken wing. I don’t know how to feel about performing surgery without numbing medication. I’m all about quality of life for the animal!!

I did find an aspirin for livestock animals (including poultry ) water supplement that I had added to its water. Seems to be reacting well to the medication.

May try to band the wing at a joint above the abrasion… still doing research but I maybe cutting the circulation at the joint will help with healing?
