Wing bands

What do you think about wingbands to id birds? Im going to be using metal adjustable bands, and I also would like to use a wing band, so that if the leg band falls off, I can still id the bird.

How do you put them on?

Nobody has any opinions on this. I would be using the Jiffy Wing Bands.

we just had to remove an embedded wing band from one of our girls. it wasn't put in quite right (we didn't do them). I personally don't think they should be used. leg bands are better because they don't actually go into the chicken. That's just me. It hurts to get your ears pierced, I'm gonna guess it hurts to have a piece of metal rammed through your wing.

Know with the peachicks, alot of us place one on each wing, without it you would never know what peachick came from who.

My father alway wing banded his game chickens, without trouble.
