Wing feather cutting

Does cutting the wings has effects on the layers? I observed my layers after cutting the feathers on the wings they stopped laying. If one would like to ask and advise more please feel free to send me a private message and i will be glad to talk to you

I have to agree with @DobieLover We had a few fence jumpers and I clipped their one wing only and didn't notice any changes in their egg production. Could they be molting? Best of luck.
