Yeah, the one on the right was it. It looks like it popped on it's own. I just don't know if I should just keep spraying her with vetricyn plus? Pull the feathers? Slather her in something? I'm pretty new and haven't seen anything like this. She's my "trouble" bird, but I love her. She had an eye infection at 3 weeks or so. Got stuck in the pool and had all the feathers on her back ripped out by another duck (a little khaki She's been raised with), and now this. None of the other birds have had a moment of trouble but she gets it all.You may have to pull them out but let’s get @casportpony here to take a look. I’ve never had to pull feathers out and would rather someone more experienced have a look. Especially since you say there’s a lump with a black spot on it. I can’t see it on the pictures.
Darn. I was hoping you'd know (though I'm glad you haven't had to deal with it).I haven't treated anything like that either.
Sounds good! I will try that. No, she really hasn't. I don't know why, but it's always her with the issues. She does usually heal really fast though so here's hoping she does it again! Thank you for your help. Why not watch it and spray the Veterycin for a couple days then decide whether to pull the feathers. Especially spraying good before bed so she is out of water over night? Poor girl hasn’t had it easy ❤
I really don't want to if I can help it. Alcohol burns and she's already stressed. Are you thinking something in particular?Would you wet down that area with some alcohol and take another clear picture?
