My Ancona stopped laying a week and a half ago. Not sure why. It's too soon for molting, right? It's been pretty hot here.

Other than juvenile molting, I haven't experienced an adult molt yet so can't tell if that's what this is.
It may just be the sudden heat, it can definitely slow laying down. Usually mine start molting in August with some starting as late as November, but I don't think I've had any start at the beginning of summer. I'd Keep an eye on her just to be on the safe side.

Ok thanks! She's acting perfectly normal and her comb is red and healthy looking. I've heard during molt, the large comb chickens look kind of shriveled.

She's supposed to be the breed that best handles the heat! Oh well. I don't really blame them for slowing down. It's miserable with the heat and humidity.

Yep, all the hormones that are flowing when they're laying that make their comb red put on the brakes during their molt, combs will be pink, and definitely not as full and plump looking. Yes ma'am, the humidity has been brutal!
