The 2 OE pullets are still broody... they're killing me. I'm going to let them out on parole this afternoon. If they return to the nest, I'll look into getting them hatching eggs. Ugh!
Oh no!! I have two OEs and I hope they don't go broody lol. Ideal's website says they shouldn't 😲 They're obviously wrong 😂 Are they your regular or Onyx?

BOTH The Onyx and regular! They aren't "supposed to" but I swear once the Ancona went broody, the others thought it was a great idea.

I put them back in gen pop and so far they haven't returned to the nest but thats probably because I put down some frozen watermelon.

@wrathsfarm and @Auntiejessi3 I found a lady nearby that has BCM hatching eggs. Keep in mind I'm not planning on doing a breeding program, these are just for me so they don't have to be SOP. They look healthy to me. Do you agree?

Edited to add: I asked specifically about the rooster's temperament and she said hes the nicest rooster she's had. She also breeds silkies and says they're terrors in comparison lol.

Oh my goodness! Thats kind of funny. Well mine are only 6 days old so we are still FARRR away from possible broody but I hope we don't get there lol
Were yours all black as babies?

Mine were only born in February so they're not that old! Here's what the "regular" OEs looked like as babies:

And here's the group. The black ones are the Onyx OE. The 2 grey ones are the Blue Marans.
