Wing sexing theory

Lost 1 yesterday, looks like she was buried by accident in the shavings.
Did you check gender before disposing of the body? (Males have tiny little testicles up inside their back from the very beginning-- about the size of uncooked rice grains.)

This method is accurate and used in industry, with two caveats. It should be performed before 3 days and is only truly accurate in certain breeds. I’m not sure how it applies to silkies, so it will be interesting to see.

People here claim between 3 and 7 days. I don't particularly care if its accurate since I already have these birds and will have them until they show definite signs. Just figure it's a fun test to try out since I'll have so many

It may be able to be done between 3-7 days, but for our research we do it before day 3 for the highest accuracy
