Wing sexing?

4/5 day old chicks, both hatch at same time, but totally different wing span sizes etc. Do you think one is a hen and one is a roo?

What breed are they? Wing sexing only works with certain breeds.
Oh my lol, well I was given fertile eggs and don't really know the breeds. She had several she gave me, EE, OE, and just a mix of barnyard bird eggs. I know she has a silkie roo, a polish, a few rhode island red, Ameraucanas, and probably others I'm forgetting 🤣 guess I'll be waiting till I can tell a different way lol

Well if you repost when they are 6-8 weeks that is when we can begin to start to tell. 12 weeks is when it becomes really clear.

Wing Sexing is a sex linked trait. It only works with specific crosses.

Wing sexing isn't going to work with them then. You'll have to wait until they are 6-12 weeks old to know the genders.
