Never before had he seen a larger collection of birds, all having a small part in the larger market. "Have you been here often?"

"A bath? Right now?!" Bloodwing dug his spurs into the ground, panicked. "What I mean is, well, I'm not afraid of water. No. I have . . . an allergy! Yes, I am allergic to water!" For a moment he reconsidered. "I have a very manly allergy to water!"
