Immediately Bloodwing noticed the change in Scarlet's eyes. Brilliant! He thought fearfully. Quickly he extended one of his wings slightly, blocking an immediate move from Scarlet. If she got into a rage, it would be useless to restrain her. And then she would be dead. The idea sent a bowling ball into the pit of Bloodwing's chilled stomach.
"Wise move," Nightshade's eyes narrowed, the eyes that resembled a snake's: pale yellow, unmoving. "We don't want any violence. Someone might," she turned around with a laugh. "Get hurt."
she in stead of fighting, scarlet grabs a vial and throw it at the hen, at first nothing happen then the hen feathers slowly turn neon pink and purple
At once Nightshade's eyes flashed and her tail whirled as she aimed a deft kick at Scarlet, catching her beneath the chin. It was so fast that not even Bloodwing could react. Immediately he growled, hackles raised, and started forwards.
"Don't even think about it," huffed the pink hen, ruffling her feathers vainly while her eyes drilled into his. "Unless you want your girlfriend to have more than a scratch," she gave a cry into the darkness, exotic, and unfamiliar to Bloodwing's ears. Suddenly they were surrounded, roosters and hens on every side, perhaps a dozen, maybe more. Yellow eyes watched from trees, and tails whirled around bushes as the warriors moved into position. They were a gnarly bunch. A scar over one eye, a missing leg, ropey black scars on the wings and bodies, they were clearly not in any peaceful arrangement with other clans.
"What do you want me to do, Nightshade?" Bloodwing hissed in the silence, in which dozens of eyes watched, glaring.
Nightshade, now being thoroughly doused with an antidote to the potion Scarlet had thrown at her, turned and smiled. "You're coming with me."
