Why?

The mace wedged itself in between two spinal discs and stayed there. No matter how hard anyone tugged, the mace remained firmly lodged. "Looks like that's out of use then!" he said with a glint in his eye. (It's not the spine. Whenever something penetrates his spine, it doesn't come out again.)

The monster, with various chickens still hanging off him, started stomping over toward the sled. He raised his foot and crushed the thing, narrowly missing Kernal. It rubbed its injured eye and began testing his eyelid.

Kernal jumped just in time and spun his one foot with the battlespur on hitting the monster right between the eyelids doing extensive damage to one eye.

"Haha!" he cackled. "That eye was damaged in the first place. And if I give it enough time, it'll heal. Everything does!!"

Raven was coming around. "He thinks he's God," he grumbled, rolling over and smacking into Delta, knocking her over.

The monster twitched slightly but remained upright, tearing EagleStar out of his flesh and throwing him to the ground. "Nu-uh. DOn't you mess with me."

He stood up and ruffled, trying to ignore his horribly bruised back. He smirked and struck it's stomach next, with spurs and beak all at once.
