Bloodwing's eyes narrowed. He rose from his dust bath, the tip of his tail still neon pink. He crouched low, ready to spring, and his hackles stood on end. "Guilty as charged," he growled, frustration with Scarlet gone. "Now why don't you just hand her over and we can go our separate ways?"

"never, she took the stone, and we want her dead" 3 of the 5 birds charge him, trying to tie him with vine

He turned from Pi, and began to pace around the chickens. "How many chickens is it going to take, huh? You've all ready sent many patrols looking for us, attacking us, and all of them have failed." He grinned, but it was a sad grin. "Just like this time."

With a defiant crow he lunged at the nearest chicken, going breast-to-breast, hackles raised, before finally tripped the chicken with his spurs. He grabbed the chicken's wing with his beak, and tossed it into its companion. They both toppled to the ground, just as Bloodwing grabbed the vine they were carrying and looped it around their necks, though not tight enough to kill them.
