(Well, that last part was meant more as a joke.

Okay, it was also foreshadowing

I could probably find a few other things as well.

(No doubt you could. Why you would want to, I'm not entirely sure

(It's actally a fairly interesting passtime, but now I must go to get my banana bread out of the oven. *Scuttles off*)

"Bribe the guy who's got my friend? Hardly," Bloodwing chuckled. Deftly, he swung sideways unexpectedly, grabbed a bit of the pink dye, and threw it into the rooster's eyes.

"ack!" he fall backwards into the stream "help me, i am drowning!" he lies, but make it look like he is

"Drowning?" Bloodwing hated the word. Death by water, to him, was the most frightening, terrifying thing in the entire forest--even more than being bludgeoned to death by these ruffians. "Well," he muttered, staring down at the rooster. "We can't have that. Though, I must say, you are a pathetic swimmer." With the remaining vine he lassoed the rooster around the middle, pinning his wings to his sides. In one leap Bloodwing had landed on a tree branch leaning over the water. It lowered with his weight, enough for him to securely tie the rope amidst the branches. "I hope you like the sky much better."

Bloodwing leaped from the branch. It shot upwards at the lack of weight, flinging the rooster out of the water and sling-shooting him into the air. He bounced up and down on the vine like a rather strange yo yo.

At last, he turned to look at the remaining two birds next to the bound Scarlet. "Are you going to make this any easier for me, or am I going to have to fight you, too?"

Without noticing the moving vines, Bloodwing darted forwards and slit the vines binding Scarlet. "You all right?" he asked as he held her in his wings. "Those birds were tough cookies."
