"CLAWSTAR!" shrieked a voice frantically in the distance as Rainsong froze into place, dropping all of the berries that were cradled in her wings to replenish the food den, gazing worriedly upon the bloodied rooster that limply lay slumped at the base of a tree. An owl stood by him, to which she picked up a sharp stick in her mouth and swiftly stabbed the bird. It flew off when it was not only in horrible pain but outnumbered by Patchwork and Rainbowflight, who came running to the scene.

She wandered over to Willowfeathers nest, spotting something shiny on the edge. She gently picked it up, careful not to disturb Willowfeather. The was was large and a silver color with a small diamond on top. She quickly slipped it under her wing while nobody was looking.
