"Ah," he sighed, putting a wing across her back. He watched the two kits rebuild the dam. "But don't worry," his long spurs glinted in the afternoon light. "Sure as a squirrel's nutty, they won't be picking on you anymore."

(Oh, cool! I applaud you for drawing cats--I gave up on them long ago. My last one looked like a mutant pig in a bad mood)

Splashpaw and nutpaw are chickens! The kits got evicted by ClawRusset Inc. about a month or two ago!
