Saying that Clawstar resigned makes him sound irresponsible and he's just not that kind of guy.

It actually has the potential to be really exciting. In real life stallions fight constantly for territory and mares, predators hunt them, people corral them, etc. Not much of that has happened, but, eh, it could eventually.
