Raptor kept running, but the dagger stayed on her tail. It was only five or so feet away now. Serval flew after her as she took to the sky. “This is Leif?” Serval shouted angrily. As Raptor nodded, panicked. “LEIF STOP!” She shouted uselessly, and flapped hard to stay ahead of the blade.

Brightscales yelped and Blackflower looked over. “Reva?” She said. “Reva stop!!” Reva managed to clawed her face before Stargazer jumped between them.

Leif heard her calls and nonchalantly reappeared, opening his wings and calmly stepping off the spire, still clutching the rock, soaring down to meet Raptor. "Well, hello again!" He greeted her with a grin, flying beside Raptor, dwarfing her due to his awesome size. "You look like you're having fun." He glanced at the dagger. It was getting closer. Leif looked down at his talon, flicking a speck of sand off of it and grimacing. "Raptor," he growled, his mood flipping, "I will stop the dagger, IF you pledge your loyalty to me. You see, I want to be King of Pyrrhia, and I really can't do that without, well, you know, killing all the Queens. But you are truly an exception. You got me out of Owl's dreadful palace and released me on the world. Thanks for that, by the way." He flew closely beside her watching the dagger slowly creep towards Raptor's throat.



Reva twisted and spewed venom into Stargazer's face. She launched herself at Brightscales, sinking her fangs into her own sisters neck and allowing her poison to bubble in the wound. Reva shook, trying with all her might to fight herself. She struck Brightscales again. "Kill me!" She screamed at Blackflower and she slammed into the NightWing Queen, spitting venom over her wings and tail. Reva's scales shifted to a color that had never been before. Green. A bright, brilliant green. She slashed her talons across Blackflower's side.

Raptor yelled loudly until she ran out of breath. “YOUR JUST BLACKMAILING ME!!” She screamed. “Like I have a choice in the matter here!”
The dagger suddenly whirled around and slashed at her right wing over and over, reducing the membrane to ribbons and dropping her out of the sky with an alarmed cry.
Raptor landed in the sand with a thump and snapped her head around to see the blade whizzing towards her throat.
“FINE FINE, make it STOP!” She closed her eyes waiting for the sharp blade to pierce her scales..

“GUARDS!!” Blackflower yelled, knocking Reva’s talons out from under her with her tail.
Three NightWing guards quickly burst into the room, and seeing are a trying to attack their queen, jumped on her, one pinning her head to the floor, another trying to hold her wings down, and the third holding the tip of his spear to the hybrid’s back so she couldn’t get up.
Blackflower gasped in panic.
“Reva! What are you DOING?”
A muffled cry of pain interrupted her. Brightscales!

Blackflower raced to her side. “Oh my gosh, oh three moons, oh my gosh- Brightscales!”
The Rain/Night hybrid was a whorl of white and pale green, clutching her neck.
“Your v- venom.” She panted, one eye bleeding from being slashed.
Blackflower’s eyes widened. “I don’t HAVE venom!” She glanced frantically around.
“H- here, do it in my talon!” Brightscales jolted in pain, but shook her head.
“DO IT!” Blackflower yelled desperately, and her sister managed to spray some venom onto her talon.
Blackflower hissed, but quickly clapped the venom- filled talon over Brightscales’ wound, cancelling out Reva’s.
Her talon seared with pain, but she managed to put the rest onto the places Reva as shot her.
“AAAAOWWW!” She yelled, shaking her claws.

"well, I can make a pretty mean cactus lizard stew with whatever's available. Why don't we eat the camel tomorrow. After all, we will need food then too!" and with that, Chenoa flew off to find some lizards. In a half hour, she was back with everything she needed. "I'm back! Can you help me with these spikes please Ender? They're a pain to remove. I found some lizards. They are so easy to catch!" She said.

“Yeah.” Ender said, carefully taking the cactus and scraping off the spikes with his claws.

"StopthedaggerfromkillingRaptor." Leif thought, hurriedly. The dagger dropped to the sand. "Excellent." Leif smiled. "Just know who has the power around here." He winked at her, his goofy fake self peeking through, "I am taking out all of the Queens. I've killed Koi already. Brightscales and Blackflower, RainWing and NightWing Queens, are being murdered right at this very moment." He glanced at the stone, smiling as tiny screams issued out of it.

Reva shook, heaving deep breaths, something forced her to fight the guards around her. What was it? What had happened? She tried to lunge at Brightscales again. "Do something!" She screamed at the guards. Kalmar bounded up, helping pin her. "Reva?! Wot is 'appening?" "I... Don't-" she spat are stream of venom at Kalmar who luckily dodged it, "know." She twisted in the guards grasp, feeling the sharp spear on her shoulder blade. "Do something! Chain me up, kill me, do something!" She demanded, clawing at the confused guards around her. "Et's the work of an Animus. Et must be." Kalmar said, squinting at the injured Queens. "Are 'ou two alright?"

Gila saw an IceWing chasing the new queen. He had loved his mother, but she had been killed fairly. Raptor was his queen, his mother now. She might not treat him and his sisters like her own dragonets though. No matter. He thought. I can enchant her to love us. He thought of his little sisters who had just hatched. I wonder how I'm gonna explain to them that mom died. Maybe if my spell on Raptor works, I can enchant them to forget about mom, and love Raptor.
