Wings of Fire ~The RP: The Three Continents

Venom shook her head. “Of course not. It’s just a legend, but many including me believe it’s real. Half of our ancestors came from there. The others-” She shrugged. “I don’t know. Probably came from the same place. There’s rumored to be a powerful tribe called the HiveWings there.” She held up a talon, and a deadly-looking stinger slid out from underneath her wrist. “We inherited their abilities, and with them, some other dragons’ looks.” Grey silk furled out from behind the stinger, and she tossed it aside. “We used silk, among other things, to make the Webbed Palace.” She arched her brows proudly. “Probably one of the most grand palaces by now.” She boasted.
Fae took a wary step back. "How many other tribes are here? On this continent?"
Leif caught the silk, studying it intensely. Stingers and silk? "Creepy spider-bees," he grumbled quietly.

“Six.” Venom said matter-of-factly, then made a face. “Well, seven if you count the tiny little MineralWings. The LightWings, CaveWings, and FlashWings are native here, and have the largest established territories and tribes. Then there’s the FireWings..” She began counting the tribes off in her claws.
“They say they’re descended from two dragons called Peril and Mud or whatever. It’s their little cult thing, I don’t care. Then the LavaWings, who’re descended from the FireWings and something fishy.” She glanced over at Fae. “It was probably a dragon from your water tribe.
Then there’s the MineralWings. They’re descended from the CaveWings and some shiny butterfly dragon. Little tiny tribe. Doesn’t matter. Then there’s us.” She said, her voice taking on a note of pride. “The WebWings. Descendants of Goldwing the HiveWing something-or-other hybrid and a mysterious black dragon said to be able to see the future. That probably wasn’t true though, because no one in my tribe can tell the future.”

"Ah." Fae started. "Seven tribes? My gosh. You sound quite accomplished." Fae turned to Leif, a cunning smile beginning to form, "Could we ever meet your tribe? My, ah, advisor, here, is an absolute nerd. That's why we're here, really, to learn about these other tribes. I am a Queen, and so are you. I am certain we have common interests. Do you suppose we could visit your tribe? And others? Or is there some drama there? MineralWings?" Fae prompted, catching every slight change in Venom's tone.

Venom’s eyes narrowed, and she felt herself switch to a defensive mode for some reason. Fae sounded like she had good intentions, but somehow she felt like there was more to the SeaWing than met the eye.
“Perhaps I could bring you to the Webbed Palace.” She said, fully intending not to show them the secret tunnels and passageways underground. “You seem interested, but hopefully you can inform me of what the distant kingdoms are like same as I inform you of the land of Parsealia.” She cocked her head towards them as she turned to fly.
She had no intention of telling the two foreigners about her plans for the MineralWings either until she believed that they could help her, or at least weren’t against her.

"Of course." Fae agreed calmly, lifting into the air beside the Queen. She motioned for Leif to follow. "Lead the way."

Venom led the two over the scrublands, around ten or so WebWings laying right beneath the surface of the ground they covered, unbeknownst to them. The Kingdom of Webs was bathed in the darkness of night, but in the light it wouldn’t have looked much more impressive. The land down of the south was brown. Tall, tan grasses gleamed in the silvery light of the moons, and bare patches of ground framed the dry riverbed stretching alongside the left of them.
Mountains began to spike up, and the grass grew greener at the bases. The three dragons flew over a mountain range, which circled inward like an atoll. Then, in sight, came the Webbed Palace, looking almost like a hammock strung between the two furthest mountains. Webs shone bright white in the moonlight, stretched between the two peaks and the palace caught in the middle light a huge fly in a spiderweb. Large wooden supports, wrapped in webs, rose up from the ground and held the palace up.

Venom gestured grandly as they neared the structure, passing over the middle of the circle of mountains. “Here we are! Grand, eh?”

"Three moons," Leif whispered. "Kinda lame, not gonna-"
Fae clamped her talon around his mouth, shaking her head. "Enough," she warned gently, "we are making allies, not enemies, which you are notoriously brilliant at."
"Oh," Leif smiled, prying her talons off, "I know I am."
"Stop playing stupid. I am growing tired of redirecting your crude comments."
"My commentary is brilliant and you know it."
Fae rolled her eyes."Your commentary is going to get us killed."
"Im-poss-ee-bleah."
"Superb, Venom," Fae agreed, raising her voice, turning from her brother and nodding towards the palace. "Absolutely incredible. I am astounded by the architecture." No, no she wasn't. It was the dragons within, the dragons with incredible abilities easily outmatching quite a few tribes back in Pyrrhia, that she really wanted to see. Combined with the powers of the IceWings and SeaWings, they would be unstoppable. All they needed now, was fire. Fae nodded again, scanning her surroundings quickly, "How long did it take to construct, Venom?"

“Quite a few years.” Venom said. “My mother had the whole tribe put in a lot of effort to have it built. It was finished just after I took the throne.” She landed on a wide platform protruding from the middle of the palace leading inside. WebWing guards stood at attention with curiously curved spears, tracking the newcomers with sixteen eyes between the four of them. Venom led them past the throne room to a large room built to greet visitors from the other tribes. A large, rounded glass door framed the east wall, and the rest of the room sat open, with dining tables set around the edges of the room. A table in the middle had a thronelike chair sat at the head.
Venom walked around to sit in the chair, and gestured for the other two to sit. “So.” She said openly, studying her claws a moment. “Since I’ve been so sharing with my knowledge, how about you tell a little bit about where you’ve come from?”

"Ask away." Fae smiled, sliding into the chair to Venom's right. She didn't plan to start spitting random facts about Pyrrhia- instead, she wanted to hear Venom's interests, and what Venom cared about pertaining to Pyrrhia. Maybe then she would get to know the Queen a little better, and understand the ways of this new continent as well.
Leif reluctantly followed Fae, sitting across from his sister.
