Wings of Fire ~The RP: The Three Continents

"Back room, let's go." Ruewen spoke quicky and in slightly annoyed tones, turning his back on them as he strode past a pair of SandWing customers, who had stopped to stare as Leif and Fae shuffled past them.
Leif placed a nervous talon on his sister's shoulder, "Wait- Fae, what is going on?"
She shrugged him off wordlessly.
The doorway was covered with thick stands of chunky, colorful beads. Ruewen swished through the colorful doorway, sending the beads clacking noisly behind him.
Leif followed, squinting as he parted the beady doorway and stumbled after Fae.
They entered into a small back room, colorful rugs and cushions slouched against the floor and walls.
"It's here?" Fae questioned when Ruewen stopped to down a glass of green liquid, which had been sitting on a small table beside the beaded doorway.
Ruewen, swallowed hard then nodded vigorously, "Yea, yea, it's here."
The SkyWing tottered slightly as he crossed the room, stopping at a large painting spanning half the wall.
"And is the SandWing here?" Fae asked, glancing around the small room.
Ruewen removed the painting, which had been covering a large door. "Uh, yes, here, here, IceWing should like this." He flung the door open and motioned them into the room.
There were no windows, but a cool breeze rushed out of the doorway.
Fae slunk into the room and Leif followed, relieved as the air turned crisper in his throat. He had already adjusted his scales to the desert temperatures, but the once stifling air had still felt thick.
"Faaaae," A SandWing hunched against a red sofa to their left, greeted. The SandWing grinned.
"Hello, dear," Fae gave the SandWing a quick nod as Ruewen shut the door behind them, stopping to stare at his talon curiously for a moment, then stumbled over to a large chest.
This room was very similar to the previous, though instead of the bright windows illuminating their surrounds, small glowing lamps hung from the ceiling.
"What is this stuff?" Leif tapped a small glass bulb containing the light.
Ruewen didn't look up as he flipped the chest open, "SilkWing light. Er, creepy, but the mmm the aesthetic..."
Fae peered over his shoulder at the chest with a content look.
The SandWing stood abruptly. "So, I take that? That's the..." She mimed an explosion and Leif straightened, taking a wary step back.
"Fae.."
The SeaWing Queen snatched a small, clear vial from the chest, grabbing another and comparing them critically.
Ruewen turned abruptly towards Leif, giving him a funny look as he sized up the IceWing. "Wow." He motioned towards the Prince, nodding. "You are... Shiny."
Leif blinked uncertainly.
Ruewen narrowed his eyes. "Does he- does he talk? He, uhh, you talk right?"
Leif let out a congested sigh, swallowing hard and taking another step closer to the door.

(Sorry, I didn't realize how long this got (*_*)
Abrupt ending, but we'll see what Aphono does and then it shall continue 🙃)
Aphono could barely make their shapes out now through the more well patched roof above the room they’d gone into. A new dragon now held out a talon with something inside, a vial of some sort. “Poison perhaps? I’ll have to tell Venom not to eat anything Fae gives her.” He thought.

Ok, here it goes!

Pyla walked into the entrance of the cave, where she and Nikki were to stay for the night.
"Pyla?" said Nikki in a small voice.
"What is it?" snapped Pyla.
"I'm hungry," replied Nikki. "I've never had to rely on hunting to survive!" complained Nikki.
"Well," Pyla groaned, "You could eat this mouse," she said as she opened her talons. "But if you do, no more complaining the rest of the trip. Got it?"
Nikki nodded, and ate the mouse ravenously.
I can't wait to get their. I just can't wait. thought Pyla.

(Wow, poor Nikki must be really hungry 🥺)

*Oh. I guess that’s smart.* Cicada thought grudgingly, following the LeafWing without a word.
The two dragons flew a ways before Cyprus stopped and held up a talon, motioning for Cicada to halt as well. He swooped down closer, landing on a high tree branch, scanning the canopy carefully.
Then he saw the kind of thing he was looking for. A couple of snapped vines and a bent Elephant Ear (plant, ya know).
"Down here." He said, looking closer. "Acacia landed here and started... walking??" His brow wrinkled, a little confused. "Hm." He said, shrugging and looking for large footprints in the soft jungle soil.

"Yes, he speaks," Fae mumbled, distracted as she squinted at the vials. "Very clean, Ruewen. I'm impressed."
"Yes. You should be," he nodded towards the vials, "stuff's rich. Purest you'll find  anywhere."
The SkyWing flipped open another small chest, revealing two full, clear glasses. Water slopped in the bottom of the chest as Ruewen snatched the glasses, offering one to Leif, who took it wordlessly, his eyes hardly leaving Fae.
"Oh dear," The SkyWing mused, "can't stay cool for long." He gulped the liquid (water, Leif assumed), then sighed contently. "You really can't stop, uhh, drinking round here, buddy. Might dry up like a little... shrively thing." Ruewen downed the glass, nodding towards Leif, who grimaced and took a hesitant sip to appease the SkyWing.
"Right, folks, I gotta life and that sort of thing, so can we maaaaybe, pick up the pace??" The SandWing questioned, still slumped cooly against the sofa.
"Mmm, yes, uhh, completely agree." Ruewen nodded, "Infact," his head snapped up to the roof above for a moment, his long twisted horns flat against his neck.
Leif watched the tall, slender dragon nervously as his eyes narrowed.
"What's up?" The SandWing asked.
Ruewen slowly lowered his gaze and gave her a skeptical look for a few silent, curious seconds... then his composure broke and he snorted, rolling his eyes sarcastically. "Anyway- Fae? Yeah, go, go, get that out of here." Ruewen motioned to the chest, "and he..." The SkyWing pointed to Leif, then to himself, then gave Fae a thumbs up, his brow arched critically.
"Yes, yes, of course," Fae agreed, setting the vials back into the chest, "just- here, Aloe, darling, you take these," the Queen gestured towards the vials, "and all shall go according to plan."
"Fae." Leif whispered, his body tense and rigid.
Ruewen clicked his claws against a second small, empty glass, which Leif hadn't remembered seeing him grab. Infact, Leif hadn't noticed much of anything, all too focused on Fae and trying to connect her scattered sentences.
Aloe got up slowly, sighing heavily as Fae closed the chest.
"Right, get out of here," Ruewen opened the door, "I'll be, uhh, ready."
Leif exited quicky, nearly tripping on one of the numerous, colorful rugs lining the room.
Fae followed him, slipping through the doorway and motioning him to the back of the room.
"What's happening." Leif whispered, his expression dead serious.
Fae reached for his talon, and Leif let her grab it limply.
He held her look expectantly.
"It is okay." Fae reassured, softly. She cocked her head, giving him a gentle smile. "Leif, Leif, it's alright."
He dropped his gaze.
"I need you to remove your protection spells. Not the Animus one."
The prince seemed to hesitate. But a second later, he said in a voice barely audible, "Done."
Ruewen swept through the doorway, Aloe following closely behind, sending the beads smacking together loudly.
"Am I going with you, Fae?" Leif wondered quietly.
Fae inhaled slowly, then let out an exhausted sigh. "Of course, love. Of course. Now, please, let's go." she released his talon and Leif nearly let it drop to the ground, but instead he clenched his fist, a dangerous look in his eyes.
