Aphono climbed into a large tree, poking his head through the leaves. He spotted a few mountains that looked different from the cavewings mountains. “ aha, mineralwings.” He thought, looking at the mountain and confirming his suspicion. At least he was on the right track.
 
Quartz realized he would have to build up stamina for flying. In the caves, there wasn't a lot of room for flying. Anyway, he started to look at his surroundings. The sun, the grass, the trees.
Wait, what was that in the trees? It looked like a head. A black head. He made sure the guards weren't looking, and he spit apart from the group to figure out what is was.

A far off bird lookin thing in the sky started descending towards him, Aphono ducked as he realized it was a mineralwing. “ crap, i don’t wanna be caught by them next!”
 
Quartz landed on the ground. Then he saw it. The black dragon. This dragon had four wings. Interesting. This was no MineralWing. But it had four wings, and he didn't think any other tribe had that number of wings. Maybe a hybrid? It also had 4 eyes. Wait, Quartz had read about these in a scroll. This looked like a WebWing! He thought that was a silly rumor. He didn't think they were real. "Hey, I see you. You can come out" Quartz said.

Aphono crawled down the tree, hanging upside down with his claws digging into the trunk, staring curiously at the mineralwing. “ hmmmm, I’ll have you know I wasn’t hiding.” He said to the dragon, flexing his four wings painfully.

"Is your wing okay?" Quartz said. "I can help you. I'm not gonna hurt you. You are bigger than me, and they say you have venomous fangs"

Aphono narrowed his eyes. “ Wings.” He corrected. “ And no, they aren’t. That’s right, I do. But I wouldn’t hurt a dragonet like you, why are you out here anyway? Mineralwings don’t usually let their young out…” He said, knowing this from spying on them before.

Quartz yelled at the dragon "I'm not a dragonet anymore! I am 10! That is the age MineralWings let their young out. How would you know that anyway?"
