Wings of Fire ~The RP: The Three Continents

Deepstar peeked around the corner in time to see some horribly worded aquatic. She caught the words “ anyone clear?” And “ I no gone hurt you.” It was clearly a dragon uneducated in aquatic. She tried her best as well despite her stripes being scattered, She only lit up the nessecary ones. “Hello? Who are you? Or…what are you?” She said in aquatic
"Abyss" He said in Aquatic. "NightWing/SeaWing hybrid. Who you? You know way out here?"

Accepted!

Brightscales sat in the high foliage of one of the trees that nestled the RainWing palace in their branches.
She sighed, admiring the sunset as its glowing colored lights resembled a RainWing’s shifting scales.

“It’s so nice to get away from all the questions and noisy dragons.” She said to herself, a habit she’d never really been able to break once she’d taken the throne. The darkening sky made her think of her sister.
She hadn’t seen her since they were just hatched in the Night Kingdom- just in case one of them had NightWing powers.
They didn’t, though.
Which was upsetting.

Brightscales huffed. She wished she had something different about her, or at least full RainWing powers so she could turn invisible like the others.
She was stronger than most RainWings too, which was fun, she liked wrestling with her brothers.
She smiled.

She had turned seven just a few weeks ago, which mean that Blackflower had turned seven also, freeing them from the restrictions of their advisors.
She could visit Blackflower now.. but did she really want to? After all these years?

Blackflower gazed over the Night Kingdom from a balcony. The sun was setting, and the streets were beginning to fill with bustling dragons, the street vendors laying out their beautiful wares and exotic foods.
Sunset was when the NightWings woke up, but Blackflower always found peace in the receding light of the sun. It filled her with energy.
She took a deep breath in.
She’d turned seven a few weeks ago, which meant that her sister across the continent, Brightscales, had also turned seven. Now they were free to rule as Queens as they pleased.
For her right now though, it only meant more work and no chance to hand paperwork or plans to the advisors.

It was hard, yes, being less strong than the other heavyset NightWings, but it wasn’t like they were going to fight her or anything- right? She only had her one other sister to keep her company, and even then, they barely exchanged much more than a simple greeting. Her sister was NightWing down to the very core- other than scattered rainbow scales rather than silver ones, but she hid them well to fit in with the crowd.
Her sister was the type to go down to the shop and spend hours looking at all the different wares without even buying anything.

Blackflower sighed. Now free, she could go see her sister..
but did she really want to? And after all these years of seperation?

Emerald chuckled as a little MineralWing dragonet ran over her tail. She and several guards had taken the seven to ten year-olds out for a practice flight yesterday.
She wanted to make sure her Tribe could fly after all, cooped up in a cave for most of their lives.
Not that they didn’t like it, but it was fun to stretch your wings every once in a while.
Emerald had been doing this for years, and yet she always loved seeing the beautiful, shining green scattered in her scales glow like gemstones when the sunlight hit them.

“Yowch, not so hard Carat!” She said, turning to see an orange and grey-scaled two year-old bite down hard on her tail.
She was hanging out with the younger dragonets today, and they always loved attention from the Queen- although she was just Grandma Emerald to a lot of them.
She’d insisted on them treating her like family rather than a secluded Queen like the CaveWings or SilkWings. Although SilkWings weren’t that bad, they just..
Yeah.

She rolled her eyes. “Ruby, I’ve told you.. just because some of your scales look like rock doesn’t mean you can EAT the rock.”
A red and black-speckled dragonet gave her a guilty smile and placed the rock on the ground again as Emerald chuckled.
She really did love the dragonets.

Nuri stretched, sand pushing away from her talons as she tensed her muscles, then slowly got up.
You could never be too warm.
But the cool ocean waves felt good against her claws anyway. Bubbling white foam hissed against the sand as waves pushed water up the beach, the receded, only to repeat the never-ending process. Nuri noticed a sand bank in the water, several broken shells caught behind it.
Curiously, she picked through them, but upon finding just small, broken ones, she walked back up the shore, wet sand sticking to her talons.
She had built up quite a collection, even one large, pinkish conch- which was her prize shell. Not that it mattered much, but the collection was her secret little pride and joy.
the Tribe didn’t have to ever see it for all she cared.

Lifting her white, slightly golden hued, curved wings, she took flight in two strong wingbeats. The warm breeze carried towards the LightWing pavilion- a shining white, gold, and sapphire jewel on the beach.
The blazing light of sunset only made it all the more grand looking.

Raptor shivered, her breath visible in the stark air.
Why oh WHY did the Ice Kingdom just have to be this COLD??
She hated it. The climate went against the very nature of SandWings. Could anything possible be this torturous?

Well, perhaps the Kingdom of Sea. It was pretty comparable, the water was FREEZING.
But it was nothing compared to this. This was true torture.

The SandWing narrowed her black eyes against the blindingly white snow. Whiter than the whitest sand? How was that even POSSIBLE??
She pulled her light grey cloak around her shoulders, attempting to stave off the cold- but nothing would help.

Raptor blew a small flame, which barely sparked, and immediately went out in the sharp breeze.
Great. Wonderful.
The SandWing snarled, trying to hurry through the snow, which was FREAKING COLD, and made it back into the castle.
A chill ran down her spine, not from fear, just from the intense coldness. It was slightly better inside, still cold, but no wind.

“Back already?” Raptor froze.
“Yes sir. Nothing interesting to report I’m afraid.”
She heard the sound of a dragon stiffening up. “You know better than to speak like that.” The superior said, and Raptor could almost hear the scout cringe. “I’m sorry captain, sir. It’s just-“
“Just what?” The voice hissed, daring to be challenged.
There was silence for a moment, then a sigh. “Nothing, sir.” “Good.” The IceWing captain said. “Now follow me. I’m going to check up on Sliver.” The voice’s tone softened in just the slightest. “Maybe he’s found something worth..”

The voices faded, and Raptor let out a large breath- not realizing she’d been holding it in.
