Wings of Fire ~The RP: The Three Continents

Walrus narrowed her eyes at Reva, but didn't say anything else for a while. Studently she swooped downward, finally spotting the beautiful shimmering palace. She turned around and whispered to Reva, "Become invisible," and landed in front of the palace guards.
"I need to see Queen Owl right now." She said to them.
They looked at each other, and after a moment, said, "She should be somewhere in the palace."
Hoping Reva was behind her, she passed the guards and started searching for the queen. Right as she was about to lift off the ground, a sharp spear whizzed by her, making her jump aside. "What in the world!?" Walrus yelled, blinking at it.
A flying spear? That didn't sound right.
Something told her to follow it, so, forgetting about Reva, she flew after it.
Reva stalked after her, shivering intensely. "What the heck is that?" She hissed through chattering teeth, loping behind Walrus, "It's magic. It must be." There was a sound up ahead and a massive IceWing lumbered down the hall ahead of them, pursuing the spear. "Good gravy. He's gigantic!" Reva whispered, shocked.

@Chikyboy Owl’s about get murdered by a magicked spear in about five seconds. 😨

"He must be an animus!" Walrus said quietly, trying not to get the attention of Leif. "What's he doing with the spear?" Walrus suddenly wished that she was half-RainWing so she could melt into her surroundings.
"What do we do?" She asked Reva.

"You're the IceWing," Reva growled, rolling her eyes, "Let's... Let's follow him. I wonder what's going on." They passed a rather horrified looking IceWing. "Hurry." Reva hissed, still invisible.

"Wait," Walrus said, turning to the IceWing they had passed. "Do you know him?" She pointed to Leif. "Do you know what he's doing with that spear?"

Several hours later, the Leafwing finally arrived at the huge boulder. Finding the tunnel, he now realized why it was so hard to see. It was nestled right between the boulder and a whole lot of brush. It just looked like a small crevice from most angles. No wonder he hadn't ever noticed it before.

Cyprus quickly spread his wings for a stabilized drop and leapt into the hole. His landing was much better this time. He hit hard and rolled a bit, but he was back on his own two feet in an instant.
Cyprus looked around. Yes, this was all familiar. Then he saw the tunnel and the speck of light at the end. He double-checked all his things to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything else. "All right, let's go." The dragon said to himself as he started to jog down the tunnel. The light started to get a little brighter and a little closer.

"Wait," Walrus said, turning to the IceWing they had passed. "Do you know him?" She pointed to Leif. "Do you know what he's doing with that spear?"
The dragon nodded. "That's Leif. The Animus." He gulped, "He's gone bad! He's- he's lost his soul!" Reva cursed, "We've gotta get out of here."

(Maybe Walrus can be loyal to Owl and try to get to her before Leif does? Then we can drag this on longer 🤣)

The swamp was stagnant and muggy. The midday sun beat down in little patches through the trees. There was not the slightest stirring of air. All was completely still except for the buzz of a myriad of small insects, mainly mosquitoes.

Then, quite unexpectedly, a single bubble deliberately arose to the surface. Just one.
It sat for a moment and then popped just as a fly tried to land on it.
Stillness reigned once more.
But then- two more bubbles. They too sat for a moment, and then were gone.

Suddenly the water seemed to come alive! It heaved up in a huge, shapeless mass. But it wasn't just water. The form of a large, thick-bodied dragon emerged as the water flowed off of it. It was a Mudwing.
The big dragon climbed out of the water and onto a clayey bank nearby where the sun was striking at its hottest. He shook like a dog, flinging the water from his scales as he sighed contentedly and plopped down into the warm mud.
