Wings of Fire ~The RP: The Three Continents

Leif surged ahead of the crowd, annoyed at how slow they were, but he was a massive dragon with twice the wing span of the others. Part of him wanted to use his powers to simply teleport them to the SeaWing capital, but he was beginning to feel a bit nervous after all the Darkstalker spells. Cliffs jutted out of the sides of mountains, the entire tribe dodging them as one, like a swarm of bees. Leif kept a wary distance ahead from the enraged crowd, but began to hear his name being called loudly. He circled back. "Leif!" A snow white dragon shouted, "Where's the general? Did Koi kill him, too?" Leif stuttered, just remembering the trapped IceWings in the Queen's secret passage, "Uh- I don't, um, he must be- Yes! Yes she did!" The tribe roared angerly and Leif shivered. "Who will lead us now?" Someone yelped. "Leif! Leif will!" Another shouted. "What? That's ridiculous. We need a Queen." "King Leif, King Leif!" "Shut up. How in Pyrrhia could we have a King lead us?!" "But he's an Animus! Look at him! He's terrifying." Leif waited, trying to let them sort things out without him interfering. "I vote King Leif, who's with me?" "No, Owl's niece will suffice." "What? A petty little dragon like that couldn't lead us to an iceberg. King Leif!" The tribe fought for another minute and the dragon in favor of Leif gave a very convincing speech. In the end, there were a dozen votes for Owl's niece. The rest of the tribe voted for Leif. Spiraling downward down a cliff, King Leif of the IceWings chuckled to himself. All was going as planned so far. Hopefully his luck stayed.

Reva paused, squinting at the bioluminescent scales and trying to remember the SeaWing dialect. *Yes.* She replied simply, swimming up beside Walrus. *Hurry.*
*Good,* Walrus flashed, turning around again into a normal swimming position. *You-* She hesitated, realizing she was lacking the proper bioluminescent scales for the sentence. *You no go up air in Deep Palace. Deep Palace deep.* She hoped Reva would be able to understand what she had just said. She wished she had all her bioluminescent scales, but she didn't, so that would just have to do.

Reva understood and gave a quick nod. She saw a blur in the corner of her eye and turned. A SeaWing guard approached them, flashing his scales. Reva couldn't decipher the fast flashing and turned to Walrus helplessly.

Cyprus looked around. Yes, this was all familiar. Then he saw the tunnel and the speck of light at the end. He double-checked all his things to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything else. "All right, let's go." The dragon said to himself as he started to jog down the tunnel. The light started to get a little brighter and a little closer.
After a while, he finally made it to the entrance on the other side. The young dragon stepped out into the bright sunlight, squinting as his eyes adjusted to the light. Once they did, he had a look around.
"Where am I??" The Leafwing wondered as he scanned the unfamiliar landscape. It didn't look like anything he'd ever seen before. Sure, it was open country, but the grass was quite short. "If you could even call this "grass"" he muttered to himself. It was very soft and cushy, but it seemed wider than it was tall. The air was also cool, almost cold in fact. He'd never experienced such a low temperature before. The coldest Cyprus had ever gotten was at the seashore, where a cool wind from the open sea blew in. "Am I near the ocean?" He pondered as he looked around some more.

Reva understood and gave a quick nod. She saw a blur in the corner of her eye and turned. A SeaWing guard approached them, flashing his scales. Reva couldn't decipher the fast flashing and turned to Walrus helplessly.
Walrus turned around and flared her wings in surprise, before realizing it was just a guard. Since she didn't see what he had flashed, she shook her head and said in aquatic, *Go up. Queen in danger.*

The guard looked surprised and shot to the surface.

Reva, confused, followed Walrus' lead.

"The queen," Walrus said as soon as she could speak. "An animus dragon gathered, like, all the IceWings, and they're coming to attack the queen. It's a bit of a long story, but we need to protect Queen Koi right NOW."

The guard looked skeptical. "Go, you idiot!" Reva hissed angerly. The guard turned and dove back into the sea. Reva looked to Walrus, "Alright. You're gonna have to do the talking, okay?"

Walrus nodded, slightly absent-mindedly, then dove after the guard. *You help queen?* She flashed at him, worried Reva might have scared him away.

*Yes, we are headed to the Deep Palace now.* He answered quickly, shooting through the water like an arrow. He dove into a low crevice, hoping the dragons would follow.

Reva straggled behind, the water pressure blurring her vision. She couldn't do this. She stopped mid dive, shaking her head. Reva couldn't catch up to Walrus, they were too far ahead. Hesitantly, she swam to the surface, gasping for air. Ugh, she hated water. Warily, Reva swam to shore and pulled herself up, watching the sky nervously. She hoped Walrus knew what she was doing.
