Wings of Fire ~The RP: The Three Continents

@Barred Rock Mama (I know it’s like late morning in Pyrrhia, so it would be sunset, night in Parsealia, right?)

Venom lifted the silk trapdoor, squinting and blinking at the light. Once her eyes adjusted, she scanned the dusty, dry grasslands for signs of dragons. None. She lifted the light trapdoor a little more and gazed up at the skies. Still no dragons. Good.
She glanced back down the tunnel, but couldn’t see the guard she had left there through the darkness. “Stay safe, your highness.” A voice rumbled anyway. “Of course, I know.” Venom growled, and shut the trapdoor.
Her four eyes blinked as they continued to adjust to the rapidly declining light. Even though it was sunset, she had to get used to the brightness after walking in the tunnels for half an hour. She took a large breath of clear air and smiled. This was the only moment every week she got to herself. Truly herself.
She lifted her four translucent, web-patterned wings and flew off towards the faintly crashing sound of ocean waves.
The WebWing queen always insisted she have a moment at sunset to herself at the end of every week. Living underground felt natural with dirt and webbed walls surrounding her, but being aboveground sometimes helped her relax. And she wasn’t talking about the Webbed Palace, she meant out here at the edge of their territory near the sea.
Her talons flexed freely and she allowed her stingers to slide out for a moment before receding back into her wrists.

She’d never risk this in the middle of the day. Sundown was the only time her guard and advisors felt was safe enough for her to be alone. Her ebony black and brown scales gleamed reddish in the light of the sun, and her large, wavy horns glowed with a slightly amber brown color.
She landed on the sand at the edge of the beach, grass and scrub stretching as far to the east she could see that she knew led to the Light Kingdom. To the west, she could see the peninsula of the WebWings stretching out widely, illuminated in the fading rays of the sun.

(Yuh, that sounds good. Would you like Fae and Leif to run into her?)

"Huh." Leif grunted. He wouldn't show sympathy. Only he would star in this self-pity show. "I need to go. But I will return to speak with you, Chenoa." He gave her a stiff nod, then vanished once again, reappearing beside his sister in the library.
"Leif. Just in time."
"As usual." The IceWing Prince grinned, squinting at the gold chain draped across Fae's talon. "What's that."
"Our key to the Third Continent."
"Ah. Can we go?"
Fae smiled. "Of course, darling. Where's Silver?"
"On his way back." Leif shrugged, "Not much I can do to speed that process up."
"No," Fae agreed. "But no need to wait for him. He's not too interested in the continent anyway. His desires are not as grand as ours, dear brother."
Leif nodded, plastering a fake smile of his face. "Yeah."
Fae took his talon in hers, widening the chain and slipping it over her talon.
"Wow."
"Underwhelming, is it not?"
Leif laughed, shaking his head with a confused look. "Are there actually dragons here?" He asked, squinting at the rolling hills in the distance, "Could there be a different continent?"
"They are here. Koi painted quite a few. She met a- a BrightWing or something along those lines."
"Strange."
"Hm."
Leif surged ahead, still laughing.
"I miss massive Leif." Fae commented, flying cooly beside her brother.
"Do you, now?" The IceWing Prince grinned, flipping upside down and catching the wind, soaring directly below Fae, "I missed fitting."
"Oh, common. You enjoyed being huge and towering over me."
"Yes." Leif agreed. "I did."
"You looked much more imposing. Much more... More like a King."
Leif nodded silently.
Fae sighed. "What troubles you, brother?"
"Oh, nothing, Fae." Leif lied, smiling cooly.
"Be honest, now. Please."
Leif shook his head, smiling kindly, "Nothing of the sort, Fae. I am fine."
"You are fine." Fae echoed. "Whatever you say. There is an ocean ahead."
"An ocean?" Leif flipped around, sloppily catching himself in the breeze and squinting at the approaching blue.
"An ocean." Fae confirmed, smiling motherly at Leif.

"Do you think Pyrrhia is ahead, then?"
"Ahead? It could be any direction. We aren't finding it from here."
Leif scratched at the jagged rock, repositioning himself on the cliff at waves crashed below. "Don't ever loose that chain. You'll never get back."
"I don't plan to. See what we missed? We could have explored this entire continent if we had gone."
"As dragonets?"
"As dragonets."
"You wanted to use magic for everything," Leif said quietly.
Fae cocked her head at the Prince. "And you were afraid. Afraid that you would loose your soul."
Leif nodded, still scratching at the rock. "And Owl wouldn't have wanted it."
"Dear brother, would I have ever deceived you in such a way? I love you, Leif. Look at how many enchantments you do now. You are safe. You are fine."
"Owl still wouldn't have wanted me to use magic like that."
"Oh, stop it with Owl. Owl's  dead. At the hand of the old SeaWing Queen." Fae grinned.
Leif snorted. "Shall we continue exploring?"
"We shall."

"Wow."

(Here you are, @Blue Raptor, I think Venom should spot them first.)

Venom’s eyes flew open alertly and she listened for a moment. There! Two voices caught on the cool wind again, the sound reaching the WebWing queen’s ears. Quickly, she looked around, and spotted a white and a blue dragon. *A LightWing and a weird-looking FlashWing.* She thought with alarm. She glanced around quickly, but there was no where to hide LightWings and. FlashWings were both formidable dragons, and their white fire breath and electricity powers could strike further than her stingers. She was in trouble if they were foes.
She glanced back up at them. They seemed to be alone. *Maybe they have an affair,* She wondered with distain.
She lifted her wings, and began hurriedly flying away, hoping to reach the hidden trapdoors before they spotted her.

"Ooooooooh... well would ya look at that." Cyprus exclaimed, his interest perking up slightly. "That's beautiful."

The Leafwing grinned. "I'll do ya one better though." He said as he pulled out a medium-sized dagger. The blade wasn't much to look at on first glance, but it was sharp enough to split an insect in half mid-air, and it gleamed so reflectively that it appeared an almost luminescent white under the moonlight. The handle itself was a remarkable creation, with a beautiful, elaborately-carved Pantalian scene on either side of it. All in all, it was an impressive work of art, and one could tell Cyprus was very proud of it.
Condor’s eyes widened as she gazed at the blade. “Three moons,” she whispered, her talons twitching slightly as if wanting to touch it. She glanced back up at Cyprus. “That’s quite the blade.” She said, impressed. “You don’t see craftsmanship like that here.”

"Don't see much on Pantala anymore these days either." He remarked, slightly subdued.

"Speaking of which-- I probably need to be getting home. It's been a long week." He grinned wryly.
