Fae landed dramatically beside Aphono and the Queen, a hint of a smile on her expression. "Well," she scoffed breathlessly, "here we are." Fae motioned towards the blundering NightWing stalking down the road, double taking when he noticed the WebWings. "As I said, every dragon kind in Pyrrhia is here. Come, let us continue our exploration. I am told there is a merchant here selling the finest glass in the land. He can even stain it! Blue, purples, reds. Remarkable." Fae smiled towards Venom, a look of concern crossing her face, "You aren't too hot, I hope, dear? Come, let us fetch some water before we continue."

Venom followed Fae into town, holding her head high as several SandWings stalked past, muttering to each other with narrowed eyes as they stared at her.
“I hope you didn’t come here just to shop.” She said breathlessly to the SeaWing queen. “I still don’t see why we need to be here.” She glanced back at Aphono and the guards, who seemed to be as immensely tense as she was.
As they went deeper into the town, towards the oasis, Venom could sense the stares of all the dragons in town and had a constant uneasy feeling that they were being followed, but every time she turned around, no one was there.
*Something’s not right..* she though, actually nervous for once.
Suddenly, she stepped over beside Fae and pushed her towards a vacant market stall, her claws pressed firmly into the sea dragon’s neck. “Alright, Fae, what’s going on here?” She hissed quietly; eyes narrowed. “There’s no way you’d drag me out here for no reason. What are you up to?”

Aphono realized what Venom was doing and distracted the Seawing guards, he couldn’t let Venoms opportunity slip away.


Deepstar was watching Aphono while he showed the guards his Web spinnerets and what he could do with them. But she caught a glimpse of Fae and Venom by a market stall in the shadows. Were they embracing each other? Whispering to each other? Deepstar slipped away from the group and toward the two queens.

Venom followed Fae into town, holding her head high as several SandWings stalked past, muttering to each other with narrowed eyes as they stared at her.
“I hope you didn’t come here just to shop.” She said breathlessly to the SeaWing queen. “I still don’t see why we need to be here.” She glanced back at Aphono and the guards, who seemed to be as immensely tense as she was.
As they went deeper into the town, towards the oasis, Venom could sense the stares of all the dragons in town and had a constant uneasy feeling that they were being followed, but every time she turned around, no one was there.
*Something’s not right..* she though, actually nervous for once.
Suddenly, she stepped over beside Fae and pushed her towards a vacant market stall, her claws pressed firmly into the sea dragon’s neck. “Alright, Fae, what’s going on here?” She hissed quietly; eyes narrowed. “There’s no way you’d drag me out here for no reason. What are you up to?”

Fae gagged, her talons desperately gripping the WebWing Queen's claws. "No- I," she rasped, writhing in Venom's grasp, "Venom, don't-"
Leif bounded around the corner, his stupid smile vanishing instantly. He froze as Fae met his gaze with a desperate look. The IceWing Prince scrambled towards the Queens, raising his hands and nodding towards Venom.
"Your Majesty," he said carefully, keeping his distance from Venom, "what is wrong?"

Fae gagged, her talons desperately gripping the WebWing Queen's claws. "No- I," she rasped, writhing in Venom's grasp, "Venom, don't-"
Leif bounded around the corner, his stupid smile vanishing instantly. He froze as Fae met his gaze with a desperate look. The IceWing Prince scrambled towards the Queens, raising his hands and nodding towards Venom.
"Your Majesty," he said carefully, keeping his distance from Venom, "what is wrong?"

“Alright then,” Venom said, loosening her grip slightly. “If she won’t tell me.. IceWing. What are we really doing here?” A pair of amber eyes glanced over at Leif questioningly. “Tell me. Now.”

"Funny you think she would tell me her plans," Leif scoffed, rolling his eyes with a grin.
Fae coughed dramatically, rubbing her throat and backing quickly away from Venom. "A treaty, Venom," Fae spat, "a peace treaty YOU signed."

Venom wouldn’t admit she’d forgotten about the treaty. She let go of Fae. “Of course I remember, you’re not hurt, are you.” She frowned at the sea dragon. “Honor the treaty then and tell me what we’re doing here really!”

"I have allies here, Venom. And there is this lovely tribe called the SeaWings, who wish Leif dead. So, I oblige. I always oblige." Fae snarled, bitterly. "Do not disrupt our plan. Need I remind you; I am the only dragon who can bring you back to your tribe. Only the SeaWing Queen can access the chain. So, play along, dear, and stop getting in the way."
Leif straightened, trying to make sense of Fae's words, watching her carefully as she stared down the WebWing Queen.

Need I remind you; I am the only dragon who can bring you back to your tribe. Only the SeaWing Queen can access the chain. So, play along, dear, and stop getting in the way."
Leif straightened, trying to make sense of Fae's words, watching her carefully as she stared down the WebWing Queen.

Venom growled deep in her throat, refusing to be intimidated by the shorter dragon. The fact that she was practically stranded here without Fae’s help to get home sent shivers down her spine nonetheless.
Aphono still appeared to be off Fae’s radar, so she hoped the brown dragon could do something stealthy in a case where the SeaWings abandoned them.
“Fine.” Venom agreed with a snarl, glaring around at the staring dragons with contempt. “Get on with your little parade, then.”

Fae slipped down an alleyway, blending in with the crowd, save the blundering IceWing beside her.

(Maybe Aphono could follow them? Or not. Just an idea.)
