The SeaWing Queen exited the shop, Aloe and Leif at her side. The bustling streets shifted around them in confusion, stopping to stare as the IceWing trudged on behind Fae.
Aloe said something to Fae, but Leif couldn't hear. The noise around them was incredible, and Leif winced at every shout as they voices seemed to grow louder and louder.
Fae led them down quite a few streets, and Leif quickly lost his sense of direction. He seemed to be having difficulties focusing- but maybe that was just the heat. He stopped, holding his talon closely to his face, squinting and blinking, trying to get his vision to clear.
Gosh, it was so, so loud.
He blinked and then Fae appeared, waving him towards her, her mouth moving, but no sound.
Oh.
Fix it. Leif thought, trying to form the words in his mind. Every second seemed to be burying him deeper in the haze, enchant me to be impervious to... This. This poison, this drug.
And then it was loud again and Leif reeled away from Fae.
"Leif! Come, come," Fae shouted as he backed away hurriedly, bumping into hissing SandWings.
Leif quickly renewed his protection spell, adding a few others in desperation, a few he remembered from the Darkstalker scroll.
Fae stopped speaking, shaking her head slowly as the streets cleared and dragons yelped, shying away from the massive IceWing.
