“What..?” She yelled, whirling around with an unbelieving tilt to her head.
“S- so Queen Fae is dead or what? Or is Ruewen dead? Who’s dead!” She growled. “I leave for an hour or so and everything goes to flames? Three moons!” Raptor groaned into a talon.

Aloe gave the Queen a confused look, her good talon raised defensively. "Uhmm, no one died. The mission, like, failed." Aloe shrugged, her expression becoming serious. "Ruewen broke a rib or something. I.. got hurt. I dunno. It didn't work." She dropped her gaze for a moment, then slowly met Raptor's look again. "I.. I'm not going to give up, though. Seriously, he's... Leif is- he's just.. ah, just lost his mind. He may have killed Fae. I don't think we'll know for a while."

Raptor sighed, trying to calm down.
“So, you were trying to kill Leif.” She said flatly. “And look what came of it. It can’t be done without an animus..” A sudden thought came to her, but she doubted it would work.
She glanced over at Gila.

Mavros could see the mountains, they were still a ways away from the actual Seawing palace and all, but it was a great start. His light blue and green eyes scanned the forest below. They were heading from the City of Night, over Jade Mountain and through the Mud Kingdom to get to the Seawing Kingdom fastest. It would take several days. He didn’t exactly want to go to the ocean, he hated it for many reasons.

Tawny remained behind Aloe out of both fear of the big scary dragon, Queen Raptor? As well as shyness over all. She peeked out from behind Aloe to glance at the other dragon, Gila? Was he an animus? Her gaze flicked quickly over all the Sandwings, did they forget she was here? she thought as she fumbled with the strap of her bag nervously.

Aloe followed her gaze. "I-.. Raptor.." she started slowly. "How much does it take to.. to loose you soul?"

The sand dragon huffed, her dark eyes moving away from Gila. “I don’t know. The bigger the spell, the more it takes away from you I suppose. The more you do it, the more you begin the think that.. you can do anything.”
