This feral (wild) "Hawaiian Moa" (a.k.a. Red Jungle Fowl) was photographed at Waimea Canyon, Kauai, Hawaii. Kauai's Jungle Fowl are descendants of chickens brought by the Polynesians who settled Hawaii between 400-1100 AD. Jungle fowl are thought to be the wild ancestor of all domestic chickens. They are abundant in Kauai where they have no natural predators, and roam the island freely.

Closing in on Daddy's day. Here is a homemade Self Blue ( LAV ORP) Boy and his Lavender split daddy that was from a Buff Orpington mixed with a Mt Healthy Black Australorp. I thought the boy was a Blue Splash, like his mommy, till I was corrected today by some of the best authorities in the Lav world.

Just had to invent a name to post him, I call him "OFF-N-Hauser", son of BUSTOFF
