Pics
Hi! I already submitted one duck (Hercules), but I think someone said I can post pictures just to share? If not, just tell me and I'll delete it! I was going to enter Destiny, but Hercules is just a loveable, clumsy, and quirky; so I had to enter him! Destiny is so handsome, though! :love He's a "he" (male), lol! He's the same age as Hercules (3 months), but we were worried he wouldn't be apart of the flock! From the start we was adventurous, and that led to him spending time away from the flock. He never swam with his flock, ate with his flock, and overall avoided them. We worried it was because he was a different breed (Cayuga), and he despised me and my family! Avoided us at all costs... then we started giving him treats, and now he loves us! Bribery, lol! He still wasn't too close to the flock, but then him and Hercules started bonding during treat-time, and then they became inseparable! Hercules is actually the Pekin beside Destiny in the picture!

Almost time to tuck the ducks for the night!
Amber - 2 mths - Welsh Harlequin - femaleView attachment 1518069
Amber is the biggest drama queen - runs the most when trying to herd them up the ramp to the pool & quacks the loudest when picked up.

I love this pic! Looks so serene!

Name: Fifi

Gender: French Lady

Breed: Crested Mallard

She is our smallest duck. I ordered her, her crested magpie sister, and her crested Cayuga brother Darkwing, from ideal poultry. Show quality they are not, but the moment I set eyes on them they were my babies. Sadly we just lost our magpie to an unknown animal who didn’t even eat her. From day one our little lady was nearly half the size as her siblings and terrified of humans. Now that they are grown, she is still a nervous Nelly. But when she takes a treat from me or allows a pet I can’t contain my joy. I admit that I occasionally force a sort snuggle and some kisses. But look at her beret and that wiggle butt!

Name: Esmeralda
Gender: Gypsy Lady
Breed: Cayuga
My husband and I went to Beautiful Day Farms for Marans chicks. Then I saw the 3 little black ducklings. Only one didn’t run from my grasp, though she did make it clear she didn’t care for being picked up! I tried to take all 3 home but he said no. So I talked him into just this one, as though I had any intention of letting her grow up without other duckies. Esmeralda is so beautiful and brave so I named her after a strong character. She also has a big heart and took her month younger siblings under her wing. She grew up along the chicks so she has a great bond with the whole flock. She tolerates my snuggles and kisses but only if she is rewarded with treats! I love her so!
