Winter feed for pullets?

I'm a newbie also, but everything I read from the seed companies, is that you can't keep them on starter/grower for life. You have to switch them to either All Flock with separate oyster shell, or Layer Feed.

What is protein content of the starter feed?
What is the protein content of the All Flock feed?

Plenty of people talk about the benefits of feeding more protein, or not feeding too much protein--but that only applies if the protein level is different.

My starter/grower and my all flock are both 20% protein. I thought it best to keep the protein level the same. My birds are all healthy and have great feathers

There sure are lots of suggestions. Most will get you where your pullets need to be.
I recently purchased the high Omega for my birds for eggs. My 2 roosters eat it also.
In the winter I'll purchase a 1-2lb. container of greens at a large store. Usually a mixed spring combination. Then hang a red cabbage in there for them to peck at.

They've pretty much been backyard-ranging since they were a couple weeks old for at least a few hours each day. They do love greens!!
