Winter Hatch Along!

Hello! I placed 14 eggs in my nurture right 360 yesterday afternoon. They are all Buff Brahma Bantam eggs from my hens that I have collected through out the week. Hoping to hatch maybe 8 or so. Feel free to follow along in the eggs journey!

Here is day one! So far in the egg a small amount of tissue has developed. This you can’t see through a normal candle light because it is so small.

Set 15 eggs in the incubator tonight should hatch between the 12th and the 14th of February. Testing if my rooster

Day 2! So far no visible growth through the egg shell. So far in the egg there is a lot of tissue development and a few tiny veins.

Usually you can start seeing the veins by around day 4-5.

Day two for me. Trying to hold off on candling until at least day 5 or 6...it's going to be hard though. I really want to candle lol.

I've seen him romancing the ladies he's learning how to find them treats (since it's winter I toss some on the floor for him so he has something to find for them lol). I can see the bullseye in the eggs more worried about the cold making them die before they even get started.

Just collected 4 more but our temps today were 26 when I got home.
