I’m looking into putting a plastic wrap around my chicken run for the winter, to keep snow out and hopefully keep some of the warmth in. This is the one I’ve been looking at, does anyone else have experience with it or know if it’s safe to use around chickens? Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

Sorry about that, it must not have shown up, but that was what I had thought of using.

I used that last winter. It makes a nice wind break but I didn't like that it was not clear. This year I'm going to use clear shower curtains (Big Lots $3).

I’m reviving a dead thread, I know - but how do you secure the wrap to the run? I don’t want to staple it on, but how do you keep it from flapping in the breeze without using staples? Maybe zip ties at the corners?

Best to wrap edges around wood trim then screw to frame.

Gotcha. I was hoping to avoid screwing the plastic into the wood, just so we don’t have big holes in the frame come spring. But if that’s the best option then we will have to suck it up!
