Don't house your LF ducks with bantams or captive wild ducks. It is risking the health of the smaller ones to being over bred by a much larger duck. If you get wood ducks many states require you to have a permit to just have them, and a federal permit to sell the,. Then you need to build the, an enclosed flight pen with netted top so they can not get loose. If they get loose and had full flight they would be gone.

X2 on OregonBlue and Call Ducks, but the best you can find and afford. They are very cute, have a breeding season, but show competition is thick.

Yes i do know about the permit. and i was thinking the same thing... well how about woodies and calls in the same pen?

I don't know that they'd breed together, but it would probably need to be a large pen, and then separated when breeding season came along. Oh, and I wouldn't put it past the call drakes to maul your woodie hens. lol
