winter treats

been thinking about starting some sprouts from different seeds to give to my hens while it's been so cold out they haven't free ranged as much.

I'm also thinking about selling them at the local farmers market, I mean why not I've bought fresh growing cat nip at the Pets Mart checkout ???

Your birds would probably appreciate the fresh greens so go for it. Our farmer's market is pretty much a craft show this time of year but if you have an active market, take your winter treats and try it out. Others in your area raising chickens could very well be willing to buy some from you.

What breed of chickens do you have?
