This will be my first winter with my girls. I hear we are going to have a worst winter than last winter (east coast). How do you guys keep them warm and snug? This is my coop now:
As long as they're dry and out of the wind, they'll be fine.
I've got one side of the coop I board up so wind doesn't blow on them while they sleep. I've got a section of the run I'm going to cover with plastic so they have a wind break. Last year they didn't have the wind break, just the coop and they were usually outside, even when it was in the teens with ice as long as the wind wasn't blowing. If it was windy, they'd come in.
