There is the cutest cockatiel here. His name is Jake and he wisttles and likes to be scratched on the head. When I walk by him he turns upside down on his perch and puts his wings out so I will blow under his wings. He is so cute, I wonder if they would miss him if he just dissapeared? LOL Guess they would. Well I have to go for now.

Is he at the assisted livin place ? That is so good for those old folks to have things around like that. They ought to get a chicken, they can all take turns changing the diaper !!!

Speaking of diapers, I am going to order one for Sparky, Sparkler or whatever else I call him. The White showgirl roo that took the road trip to Racine and back with me. He is wearing a make shift diaper now. He acts like he owns the place !! He is a riot. Is even brave enough now to jump on my bowl while I was eating. Put a stop to that in a hurry !!! He begs right along side Butt Dog for treats !!! He is a character !!!

FT that's cute about Sparky! Still don't know enough about chickens I guess, showgirl roo? Put your glasses on I typed nubber as in a nubbing buck. Sicko!

I've pretty much given up eating veni. Used to hunt in Richland county and the meat was excellent but up here it just tastes too wild or my taste buds are getting old.

Hard for me to justify killing it when I'm not going to eat it. But my mouth is watering at the prospect of trying a little of the cow now filling the freezer. This one was bigger than the last couple, man is there ever a lot O meat in there! Had some different cuts done this time. The gal that used to do the cutting instructions isn't there anymore and I found out I had options

Yup Jim I've helped cut a lot of deer heading over to work on #2 today in a few hours. Have to teach the youngest DD's boyfriend how to cut again. He's cut them up before but was impressed with mine and the BFF's way. We don't waste meat! Want to get the dishes done first L's been a little under the weather and she might be headed down south for the birth of her G'son soon. She needs to be well.

hi again, I had trouble with 2 of my 3 gal plastic waterers.. they both leaked all the water out,, no matter how tight I screwed the cap on.. So, i went out and found my old galvanized 5 gal waterer.. It is fairly rusted, but I gave it a good going over with steel wool .. I put it into the chicken coop..

while I was in the chicken coop, the pair of Toulouse geese came in and chased everything out.. even made a half hearted attempt at me.. they know I won't budge for them.. If we get 3 eggs today, I will know for sure that the Toulouse are laying also.. I saw the baby goose in the Seb's nest.. she was doing the nesting thing.. pulling hay around herself.. she is not old enough to be laying, I don't think...

are there black o-ring gasket that fits over the main top opening? It might be stretched out of shape and needs to be replaced. We have the 3 gal plastic waterers and had problems with them sealing, went on-line to the manufactures site and found the right gasket kit- have a couple spares on hand.

DH didn't go hunting this weekend- materials for a job showed up and so they spent the weekend working since we still have nice weather. Couple friends we know did get deer- 2 of them ended up getting 10 point bucks!

Had to take the Irish Setter into the vet today- we thought she was losing weight so we wanted to double check- she has lost 8.5 pounds from the last time she was in there 6 months ago. So we are waiting on blood work results to come back later today- not sure what is going on.......

same old same old here, out to work on a few more interior doors that need help!

Have a good one.

H&R ,yes those are the ones , with the "O" rings.. I think it might have something to do with the cold, too.. but of course, they didn't give us any trouble last winter.. I think you are right, the rings might be stretched..

I don't know the mfg. we bought them at F&F.. I will have to check, maybe it is etched on them somewhere.. any lable has long since worn off..

I noticed with even a good one, the bottom drops off easily when it has water in it..

hope your dog is not seriously ill.. how old is it ?

I am thinking that they are made by Little Giant-Miller Mfg. Co. the # on our spare bag is PPF310KIT- I think DH found them on the company web site- the kids were tightening the cap to tight and that pulled them out of shape.

she is turning 9 years old on Nov 24th, we adopted her from a rescue 6 years ago, she is from a puppy mill background until she was of no use to them(turned into rescue at 2 years old with a sister dog- between the 2 dogs they had had 47 pups:( ) Earlier this year we found out that she has bone spurs on her spinal cord near the tail end and at that time DD and I thought she didn't look right weight wise- our vet told us to contiue monitoring things and keep them posted. The other day I picked her up to put her in her crate and I was able to lift her easily- which I shouldn't be able to do. She also has storm aniexty and we also think she has aniety in general-we have a thunder shirt for her which helps a bit. SO now we are wiating to see what the tests show. Our vet hopes to know more once the results are in but then again the tests could show nothing- this is what happen with our other dog that we lost over a year ago.
