Terry O-yes I got the email about the info, a friend of ours who has been into poultry stopped in with meds in the water and we are trying that for the chick-not sure the next 24 to 48 hours will tell us if it will make it. It is the smallest splash Andalusian hen that my DD has in the group she is raising for 4-H. It's just one of those things and if it's immune system wasn't the greatest to begin with it makes it more likely to come down with something. Sorry to hear about the baby goat

BBCB- yea with the kids picking out the chicks they wanted to try and raise for 4-H/fair the numbers grew pretty fast, of course we ended up with more Cochins than we will keep in the end but at this age we don't know what we have-they are still a little bit young to tell(our friend looked at them too tonight). Hopefully we will get the numbers down a few-at least my DH hopes so-I think that the coop he is designing/building will be the last for a good long while- can't complain though he goes along with it all(although he felt that 13 dogs in the house at 1 time was a few to many-all being fosters except 2 and did say something about that)! Of course we both agree that the number of roosters has to be kept to a select few.

Terri O-sorry about the baby. We actually lost one on last Sat too. Don't know why. I would love to sell all the goats too. I'm done with them. There was snow in the pasture so they were in the yard eating the bushes again today! It must be a sight seeing me and the dogs go running after them.

Good morning! Here I am again typing...I thought I had to take DD18 to school (her car broke down) so I got up...then she wanted scrambled eggs...so I did that too! I have to go to the mill anyway to get some feed for when I am gone and I need to use the truck for that and for my weekend so DD can use my van---whew! THe car schematics are really something here lately--it is even worse when DS21 is home from college! At least there is enough hay to last until Monday!

OK--dogs are finally fed and now DD is leaving so I can get the truck out...my day begins! She is going for a camput visit today in Madison at the UW. Finally I have a kid that will go there! Both of my nephews are there too so it can be a "family thing." LOL--gotta run--have a blast today and wear your winter coat! Terri O

I like that last one. That would be awesome! But $1000??? Pretty pricy. IMO. Everyone is out to make a killing these days. I know times are tough, but jeese! Most people are in that same pardicament. Hardly any money.

Microwave took a dumb last night. It's just over 10 yrs old. My parents bought it for us for our wedding present. Alls I did was push the time to start and it shut off. Like someone unplugged it. I wonder if they have fuses or something. I tried plugging it in a different outlet. Nope. Not it. Gonna call Sears and will probably have to get a new one.

What a day. Got laid off from my job, they're making cuts and my job got eliminated. Bummer. Time to start looking, again. Thank goodness the economy is in recovery, and that Wall Street continues to do well. Main Street and guys like me, not so well.

Keep on keepin' on is what I say.

I'm going to go hang out on the roost with the chickens, y'all have fun and enjoy the sunshine!

What a busy day again! I did get a microwave. Had to go to Appleton to get it though. Otherwise I would have had to wait til Thursday next week. Yah right!
