Raim, now you gave me an idea for dessert tonight! I pick up those jars of cherries at Aldi so I have them 'around' for just an emergency..... I suppose I could substitute my Vodka ones but it would not be the same.......

My youngest DD had her very first Solo and Ensemble competition today. She did very well for her first go-round, she got a second! I wish I could have watched her perform but I had to work and I knew I would make her even more nervous so instead..... I sent a friend of mine to take her picture......

Oh, she plays a French Horn.....

Free chick today from Chet, he handed it to my daughter and asked if she wanted her very own chicken and the look on her face was priceless! Its name is Little Giant Angelica. I have no idea what kind it is and it is a straight run rare breed. So any guesses?

It is super cute!!! Is it Sil laced wyandotte? Just guessing.

OK....Hughes...H&R...hope you never have to deal with his rightous, wrong, attitude. Police should be working for you and part of the community, helping the youth with a warning or a pat on the back....He will be on the outside and have no clue of what community is. He will be on a mission of his own. Anti-social and standoffish are his good qualities...LOL! May God Bless Cottage Grove.
We are dancing in the streets here! Thanks be to God! If it can't be that bad, it's because he will be able to hide in a bigger community like Cottage Grove. Family matters here, as well as your community....that's the sad part of the story.

On a lighter note....i wasen't too excited was I ? I'm not a big fan of gadgets, however this soap dispenser we have is really cool and a soap saver like no other. it takes like couple ounces of soap and like 10 ounces of water...I wash my hands prolly 8 to 10 times a day and we still haven't used half of the first fill. We used suzie dish soap for starters...

Hey Bigz--when we run out of soap in our dispensers we always just add dish soap and a bit of water! Works great in the foamers. T

Good evening! The swap was good...I tried to call you CC but for some reason the number I have for you hooks me up with a restaurant? Weird! I was calling because I saw an excellent BA roo for sale....well after I went around the swap twice I had to buy him for myself! Guess I better get your right number...you dont know what you might miss out on next! So anyhow...I now have TWO Toby's that you can chose from! (I will keep the old guy...)

So Carol (WiChCh) came over and brought me the 3 ducks she got for me and also a Dom hen...she looks just like Elaine and I named her "Carol" of course! So now I have Elaine and Carol the Dom hens...and no Roooooo! Hey CC, does Moose want to come over for a little "action" some weekend? LOL! Chicken Dates! (no birth control required...)

So sorry about that, Terri. I don't know what could have happened? Wrong area code? Anyway, I e-mailed you my #. I was probably on the road anyway. I got a few additions today too.

Awesome news on the new Dom hen & BA roo.

We will have to set up a date to bring Moose over. I have 7 of his offspring, and 6 orp chicks, so I'm sure I will have at least a few roos to choose from for next year. Although a BA roo is super tempting...... I'll have to see them when I get there. Hopefully the snow will be gone by then?

And then, I opened my email,and Bev Davis invited me to be in the Marans Chicken Club group on Yahoo. Seriously?! Of course I went and signed up!

Looks like the day for new additions! NJ, TO, CC, and MLH....LOL!!
I had the great pleasure to get over to H&R's to get those Andalusian pullets and well as some Welsummer pullets from her DD. They are nice birds. These are culls so they will just be spoiled egg layers here at my place. H&R also was uber cool and let me borrow some eggs to stuff under SG. I'll give the chicks back once SG weans them. There are 5 and I had to take the eggs that SG had under her so there would be enough room for H&R's eggs! DH lifted SG up so I could get take the old eggs and replace them with the new ones. She took one look and tilted her head sideways then promptly sat down and rolled them all under her. I honestly believe she was relieved. I think she knows that she now has "real" eggs! Tonight when I turned off the lights she was fast asleep with her head tucked under her wing just setting away on those eggs. She is gonna be a good good mama.


NJ-cute little chick! It looks like a SLW to me but you never know with those free rare chicks. It will be fun to see what it ends up being.

TO-How are the Twins?

BL4-Your DD has good taste....I played French Horn too. It's a lovely instrument.
