Delisha- how sweet! I wish the weather would warm up some more. I can't wait to let my chicks out. I am still hoping for Friday. They stink!!!
So- what is BOSS? I've seen you guys talking about it, but I don't know what it is?
The chicks are doing great- very busy digging in the straw. I threw some dry oatmeal in there for them and it was hilarious. All that scratching tires them out.
Chickens are still on strike. No eggs again.... I think its been like 10days now.
Took the kids for a walk in the woods yesterday. Thinking of buying a 40acre parcel of woods. We want it for wood for the furnace and hunting. My dad is going to come out and take a look and see if he thinks its worth it before we put in an offer. Of course than that means another year with no garage...

oh how I remember the ALL day wrestling tournaments! I didnt wrestle for very long, I would havent ever been able to the whole eating thing and cutting weight! I do enjoy watching it especially the state high school wrestling meet. Championship day is one of the coolest things I have seen. Best of luck Kristi, and dont forget a pad to prevent bleacher butt, man my hurts already just thinking about it!

No special diet or feeding of the muskrats, I'm pretty sure I know the stretch of creek the one came from, if the water was at a normal level there should have been many more just like it! Rats are going for way to much money right now, but I will take it! they are averaging 8 to 10 dollars a hide. The only downside of the the "Top lot" muskrat is not sure if I caught it or my trapping partner! Also we sent all the fur in under his name, so his name will be on the certificate, just like it was last year on my top lot beaver, although we know that one was mine because he did not catch any! We are thinking about going out to the Dakotas next fall with hope and aspirations of catching 1000 muskrats in a week!

Has anybody ever dealt with APA? I order my standard book back on 2-7 and pay pal sent receipt on 2-11 I cant get them to return any e-mails and I called and left a message today about it. Guess I should have ordered off Amazon!

I have been going through my Bantam standard and I have a lot of things to learn and memorize!

and a gentle reminder to myself, Sunday fun day is not as fun on Monday! but boy did we have a good time last night, you would have thought there were a bunch of sailors in my kitchen last night!

Judge did anything change prior to the ckn strike such as new members, feed, construction, noise (chain saw or 4-wheeler), etc. it is hard to think all the hens would stop all together like that. My sister had problem similar to yours...she sat in the coop for a long enough time to find out mice were making noise in the roof. This was freaking out her girls and slowing production. I hope it is something simple...good luck. I was also wondering about BOSS.

Wow! You don't have anything getting into your coop and stealing them do you? Rats? That happened to us one year. Not that many a day though.

Mostly Mutts, but we have a Dom Rooster with two hens and a RIR Rooster with several RIR hens and NH reds. Several Ameracauna crosses, a leghorn, cochin....you get the idea!
