Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Question for you all...is it possible that I have 2 hens that lay and 1 that never lays but wants to sit????? I know, I know...just separate them already and figure out who is laying and who isn't....I'll get to it in the Spring!

I made turkey biscuit casserole for dinner tonight using left overs and drop biscuits...yum! DH and DD12 loved the cookies and dark chocolate covered strawberries (I did too).
The rabbit is digging tunnels again. We brought him in again today for a bit until he got too warm.

Mr. Gibs dancing!

The girls actually walked around the yard for the first time in a long while. They wouldn't stay further than a foot or two from the coop door previously, but today they followed me to the door when I went inside. They do this because I usually come back out with food for them.

You guys are almost gonna make me desire to hatch my own eggs. The various pics of hatchers/eggs looked beautiful and the assortment of colors is amazing. We only have brown and light brown with brown dots.

I'm gonna check out the bee keeping link

Here are the first of the flock - these two beauties came from cuties!

No eggs this morning. I had to move them up to the perch tonight. I think they get it now.

cs, hens don't always lay every single day. Most will lay every other day. So getting 2 eggs a day is perfectly logical.

Glad to hear of all the good news.

David, I hear you on all the pain of the family issues. I'm feeling that right now too. Best wishes being sent your way.

Do I open the incubator to turn the eggs on the first day? I thought I read somewhere that you shouldn't open it on day 1 once you have set the eggs?

Cuties-I just don't think she can always be broody to the point of never laying...right?
