All the smelly birds out in the new chicken play pen. and it is hatching day at school for the buckeyes and OE eggs I have in my Brinsea.

Then as soon as I get my bator back from school, I can set the Buff Orp eggs that are on my fridge top, well any eggs that the broody won't take anyway.

I see a full freezer by fall I think

I will be taking a trip to northern wisconsin mothers day weekend and can bring the silver spangled hamburg rooster if anyone in that area wants one because the nasty neighbor is threatening me and I need to find him a new home.

BF4M- Hope you have an easy night at work, I do not miss the 4 1/2 years of 3rd shift ! & Poor kiddo, my oldest DD has her front teeth chipped too.


Well its another Monday and it couldnt come fast enough It is so much easier to clean house when the kids and DH are out of the house. I've got laundry up the wazoo to do , chick dust to clean, and my carpet could use multiple vaccumings from all the in and out this weekend. I would also love to get outside and start digging up where my new flower garden is going. My mom is bring me all kinds of bulbs to plant

Great Morning Everyone! I really missed being on! But have been waay too busy. Both Laura and I are very sore and tired. Spent the weekend cleaning and moving everything back into the 2 bedrooms and living room. NEW CARPET!

Only took 2 1/2 years. Time to slow down. Judge Happy belated! Hope the kiddo is OK! Yours too BF! Apyl think you were lucky it didn't explode and someone got hurt. But what a mess!

TO. Kristip cool lookin birds! BL4 glad to hear the ducks are fitting in. Cind sounds like storkey is sittin.

Just as I predicted Kissy is the naughty one. But she sucks up. JJ bettin the house will smell much better. Bigz did ya go turkey huntin? I didn't put in for a tag this year. WELCOME PsycoPeep! And to all the others I missed while MIA. cuties good job on the cat hope she recovers! Toby is playing fetch with me right now. And we seem to have a new addition to the fam, a long haired grey and white cat showed up a couple of weeks ago. Don't know if she would have stuck around if someone hadn't started feeding her. [it was me]

Cutest, loving little thing. But she is an outside cat! Chickens are doing great. They were laying 8-9 eggs a day then 3. They have now evened out to either 6 or 7 everyday. The stupid slw's were only laying once in a great while but now their laying again. After a year and half?????? Slept in till 5 till Toby woke me up. So I'm behind better get going.

Well my birthday weekend ended up terribly. DS3 took a head over heels spill down the upstairs steps (square wooden) at my parents house this morning. He is so beat up, and we spent the afternoon in the ER. Poor baby looks rough, but they said he didn't show signs of a head injury, so I just have to wake him every 3hrs to be sure.
So- that's pretty much it.

Poor baby..kids take the worst of tumbles and look horrible and act just fine is no time.

Sadly this is what our weekend started with fri when we got home :'( :'( :'( nala is doing very well. And I cannot beleive how good she is already getting around. Thank goodness for dr. Thompson and the wonderfull staff at country hills in eden! I was on the phone with 2 clinics at a time called 6 before they agreed to see us. Otherwise it would have been a tooooo expensive trip to fox valleyclinic. I know we could NOT have afforded them. So much for having zero balance on the plastic when the taxes arrive.
But shes alive and well ♡

I read up...finally! But have to be up at1:30 for work :-( 12hours five days a week for at least 2weeks!

On that note, got tons done with this wonderfull weather!
And it is time for bed.

Aw, thanks guys I feel better about nala now. Of coarse I would do that sergey 100 x again. ButI was getting so sick of people telling me how much ccheaper bullets would be :-( I know shes a cat... but how horrible!
Nala is 1yr 9 mo. She was sooo wild when we got her from a farm that was shooting their cats because they seeemed "sick" we took along time to catch her. I took her to spayme clinic at sun prairie, got feluke test and shots. She was all clear. My daughter spent soo much time (tuna included) taming her. She's now very friendly and sleeps with her every night ♡

I do think she was hit by a car. She has some road rash looking sores, and her front claws are shredded. She got to sleep by syd last night and is still very good this morning.
Happy belated judge sorry about your kiddo tho :-(

No baby chicks yet at the school. The teacher said she set the eggs on a Monday late in the day, so I think tomorrow perhaps we should see some pip (that is if all the eggs are not duds). I would feel so bad for those kids if all the eggs did not hatch! I would be willing to repeat the process with my own incubator just so the kids could enjoy the experience!

Off to the UW today..... thankfully the semester is almost over!

I went to madison Children's museum today to pick up my last 3 marans and suprise suprise one of them had grown a comb and those tell tale light stripes.

They were selling chickens at the museam? How come I always miss the good stuff? {{{cries}}}

Umm...okay...so, yep! Psychodelic Peepazoid, here. Wat up? Kay. I'm new to chickies, as in, only had 'em 2 weeks and 1 day. N'er had 'em before in my whoooole life! Won't tell ya how long THAT is just cuz, well, you know, a woman never tells her age dontcha know? XD

Anywhozit! I was having issues and lost a bunch, but now everything's under control and the remaining ones are doing super! I do intend to get more, but wanted to wait it out and make sure I could figure out what I was doing w/these guys first and get them stabilized and whatnot first. While I'm not against buying day olds, I sure wouldn't mind a few older ones so I can have some eggs right away, even if it's only sporadic. I don't care. I've had a few peeps suggest buying eggs, but I'm not set up for that yet. I know I can get cheap incubaters at Farm & Fleet, but I need to use the money I'd be spending on that to make sure I've got a coop and/or run for the ones I've already got, first.

Ahh, let's see ~ what else shall I say? Kay, how about this? I have: 1 buff laced Polish, 2 gold laced Polish, 1 mottled Houdan, 2 Amerecaunas (Easter Eggers? What's the difference?), 1 Amerecauna/buff Cochin mix, 1 white bantam Cochin, 1 black frizzle bantam Cochin, & 1 black Silkie. All straight runs, so I haven't a clue what I've got. BUT! My white bantam Cochin keeps flying at everyone doing chest bumps and is bigger than the frizzle. Not sure if they're the exact same age, they could be days apart, but someone told me that could be a sign of it being a roo. That and the fact it's bigger. All of my chicks are between 2 12/ to 3 1/2 wks old.

I live in central WI near the Dells, I'm married to a Marine (former Marine, he's out now), been married 15+ yrs and together nearly 18 yrs, and I have 6 kids (5 alive & 1 angel) and 1 grandkid. I used to raise rabbits, just got rid of the last one a few days ago, and have 1 Saint Bernard and 1 Alapaha Blueblood Bulldog.
