Well, now that I'm all caught up reading, I CRS!

I'll try to post tomorrow if I can find the time. Too busy this time of year.

When I go thru and read pages of stuff, what I do is if there's something I want to respond to, I'll scroll down and say what I want to say then scroll back up and read more posts and as I come across things I want to respond to, I just keep doing that. Then when I get to the bottom, I highlight the whole thing and copy it before switching to the next page. Then I just scroll way down and paste it right away so I don't forget and then I just keep adding to it as I'm going along.

Good Blustery Morning! Looks like the sun is trying to come out.

Should be seeing some life in the garden soon. Dan, Vic and udder up Norters looks like frost for you guys. That Sucks! Bigz don't know if I've ever seen my Crab trees so full of blossoms. Hope the grapes do well this year down to 2 jars of jelly. Cind so sorry to hear about that chick but happy to hear about the new arrivals! And congrats to you cuties on the late one! Jim you must swallow the squirrel to catch the snake..... Don't mind snakes but they always surprise me. Sneaky bassfeces! TO that is so bad about the accident! BBP usually they go down with a punch in the nose. They never expect it either. Have been rained out 2 days in a row but managed to get most of the long stuff cut to size will finish that today and maybe get the rest of the wood hauled. BFF is off today wonder what he did have have planned.

Too wet and too windy to get too much done today outside. Hopefully the wind will dry things out enough to finish seed planting tomorrow. At least the rain yesterday gave us the excuse to go to town and finish plant shopping. Still missing the hot pepper I am looking for but otherwise everything is ready to go if it ever stays warm. Oh well, guess I shouldn't complain. Last year we had 3 hard freeze days in a row right after Memorial day. Speaking of which, sorry TO, the bash falling next weekend is even worse for us making it. It's my BD on the 3rd and we have already made plans and the 2nd is the Antigo city wide rummage (more like county wide really) and it will be the first time in years I can actually go and have been really looking forward to it. Only one thing I enjoy more than grabbing a bargain at a rummage is going to an auction. It's hunting/gathering for females!

ATTENTION CHICKIE GURUS~~~~just read on the Wisconsin Chickens blog that Alfalfa and clover are toxic to chickens. Is this really true????

My chickens love clover... never knew that Vicki. I was reading that stinging nettle is toxic to chickens. Hope they know better on that one...we have it all over our yard...trying to iradicate it, but that is never easy!

And the bash...I know I am bringing some turkey poults...seems people want them. (they are a cross of Royal Palm, Naragansett and Blue Slate (I believe) I will go and look at my neighbor's turkeys and see for sure. Also gostlings (at least 4) if they hatch

. Buckeye eggs for Lisa to trade for Langshans, a muskovy drake for Frenchie, I feel like I am forgetting something...can you please refresh my memory? Anyone?
Julie wants button quail. Was it you that posted a pic of one, or was that someone else?

Quote: I look at ear color......Red v.s. White/off white.....Only one hen proved me wrong so far
gallus...what color gives the olive egg then? Will have to look at my hopefuly olive egger.

Delisha... how old do your rocks usually start laying. The comb on my Big Girl Moose is getting very red...she is almost 10 weeks... just checking...

I would love to try a turkey..but someone would have to help me butcher it! lol...dont know if I even want to try that one as my first butchered bird, but would be great to provide thanksgiving dinner ourselves!
