I forgot to tell you about the lady I have been corresponding with for about a week.. she asked all kinds of questions about how old were all the birds etc etc.. then last night she says..
a hen just came out of the barn with a bunch of chicks, so I won't be needing any chickens.. and am not interested in the geese anymore, because we want goslings.. yeah right.. couldn't she have mentioned that right away ?? I do not get pizzed off very often, but I don't like to be led on and then lied to.. I have her name in my files.. If she ever contacts me again, I will ask her right off what she is looking for, and then I will tell her; yes, that is exactly what I have.. and if she shows up to buy, I will tell her, oh, i just sold them an hour ago..

I have a slight upset stomach,, maybe I get a little crotchety then, eh ?

The double deposit happened to me.

When in college, I stopped at my bank and cashed my paycheck. The teller sent me out the cash for the entire check and deposited the entire amount in my checking account as well. I tried to tell her what she had done, and she argued with me, the snot nosed teenager. So I let her swing. I made sure their dollars were never out of my account and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally the bank calls me 3 months later and is all upset with me for having the money. I hung up and drove down there to discuss it in person.
They told me I should be sorry for the teller that was let go because of my actions. I explained that I tried to get it fixed the day it happened and could not make her understand, so banking was not her calling and I only helped her along the path to her true avocation. It turns out that they just wanted the money and they thought yelling at me was the best way to get it. I gave it to them only after I had my say about how they were wrong about that too.

We are doing some respite for a woman with a terminally ill mother and a 9 year old with autism. It was easy to say yes as the woman runs the respite organization for others in our area. My son thinks it is cool hanging with a 9 year old so they are fast friends.

I was never cleaning anything up for kiddos. I do that at home. :-D Halden is doing well. He got his tracking device on his wrist now. something interesting to be sure. BUt while at work, I hate typing much. it just squishes everything together.
and no... i don't want to clean up my pervy humor... no way no how... you know I could actually be worse!!! I'm keeping myself middle of the row here LOLOLOLOLOL!

Good evening...Got back from the mill. The sunset was awesome! The sky was totally gray above and toward the horizon it turned to purple then orange then pink then blue and back the reverse way to the treeline. What was cool was that way on the right side of the blue part there was a thunder cloud that was lit by the sun! I was wishing I had my camera or phone but had neither! Probably wouldnt have done it justice anyhow--that's kind of how cloud pics are I guess. It sure was neat though!

Nephew is working on the house,, didn't want me to help,, says he is in a hurry..

Birds are good albeit warm. I put the 12 older pullets in with the 12 older pullets. Peace has resumed once more.

the 5 toed buckeye is getting to be quite the crower and looker. He and his EE pullet friend are next up for incorporation into the flock.

lastly, the 3 buff orps and a black amer. are hanging with the hen who thinks she hatched them along with the 2 bronze turkeys. They are all the same age, but the turkeys are almost as big as momma, who is a cukoo marans so they look more related than the chicks.

You were in Evansville and didn't let me know? That is just a hop, skip and a jump from my house. I could have brought you GF flour from the bulk store too. Who's place? They might be a relative.

If I can figure out how to get pics from my phone to here I will show you me and Brodie in the lake! He was trying to get me wet for sure! I knew that Evansville was near someone. I sold 6 old hens today. got $4 each.. still have a bunch more to get rid of.. we have 5 good roosters, not counting the young ones growing up.. I think heads are going to roll soon..

Headed to Tractor Supply in mukwonago in a few... Need diatomaceous earth. Sister's dogs have the most resistant fleas ever (frontline, pills, and spray for the house) and they still have live ones on them. After sleeping two nights there, I have dozens of welted up flea bites (on top of my skeeter bites!). Not fun.

It sounds like you arent getting the eggs. Fleas are terrible to get rid of! I am thinking that they are picking them up in bedding or do they have an outdoor kennel? Also, some of those things you need to do 3x to get them all and then the ones that are hatching too. I havent heard of them going back on after Frontline though...if the infestation is so bad I doubt that DE is going to help. (if that's what you are using it for)

2 hatched so far and 6 are nearly hatched. 4 are not pipped yet are alive, just candled again and just 1 is iffy as its an Americana egg and can't see anything but aircell.
Has to be the parents as only 1 roo in pen and it was a green egg.

The eggs will hatch on their own. If they don't, give it a few more days before tossing. Some can be slower than others. Go to bed and be suprised in the morning.

erin, I wish I would have caught your post before you left. That is the Tractor Supply by me. We could have met up. Is that the one closest to you? That's a hike.

Gotta hit the hay (not literally, Terri). Have to get up early in case I need to take DH to urgent care in the AM. His knee was aching yesterday & this morning, then at golf this aft, it kept feeling tighter & more painful. The dimwit kept playing, so by the time he got home, he couldn't walk.
