Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Oh thanks! Good job with the AMs Vicki. Here are a few more pics of the he/she blrw. As old as "it" is, I'll know soon enough as it should be laying any day now. The comb and waddles haven't had any color up until this last week. No crowing from it either and it is my sweetest one out there! I think it's a girl with odd feathering as I've never had a male develop this late, be this small, and so tame.
Oh yeah, that's a rooster.

My mind was totally blown yesterday. I realize now how sheltered of a life I lead. We had dinner/watched the game with some of my husbands new business partners. They specialize in promoting new companies. There was also a corporate attorney there that presently works for Target Corp. Anyway, they were talking about how they are the ones responsible for creating a sales team as well as setting the market price for these 3D printers that are sitting in a warehouse waiting for release. Do you guys know what a 3D printer is? They picked up a bottle and said, you add the material to the machine and it will make this bottle. It had the ability to make anything. An Ipad, someday food. CREEPY! I guess they are used quite a bit right more to make custom wrenches and things. I can't even fathom people just having these things sitting around their house.

Sorry cs, that is a boy. Isn't he from the first batch? I am surprised he is not breeding and crowing.

I thought that roo was gorgeous!
But after seeing the hens, I see why you asked if ours was orp. These were much smaller, and had droopier tails. But ours is the one the hawk got anyway :-(
We will see what teris hold :)

Cuties - thank you so much for the pics, I think. Looks like after seeing them, I probably do have a roo. :hit.

Delisha - I've seen a 3 D printer when they were in R & D and you are right they are a bit creepy. They can replicate just about any solid object. Unfortunately, they can be, and have been, used to produce plastic firearms. The up side is they save companies a fortune in prototype development.

Come.on everyone, I am sitting here totally.bored at my hubby s DR appointment and I want to.read all about your adventures at the.show.

Congrats again to all the winners, AWESOME!!!

Good morning! Funny you should mention 3D printers. Our own MXMarge's DH MADE one! It was the coolest thing. It was all open so you could see how everything worked. He made it out of spare parts and stuff from other things. They needed to make a plastic piece to fix something I guess...so what do you do? Make something to make the piece of course! DUH!

Sounds kinda like some of the people on here to me!
So anyhow he has a room full of weird electronic stuff...I was amazed. He gave me a demo of the machine--it uses this plastic string stuff that looks like round lanyard material on a spool. Then it feeds over a melter and little arms arrange it to make the thing you want. He had a "blueprint" of a grenade on the computer screen and it made it. Very cool...cant imagine having one though!

Nothing much going on here yet today...laundry flapping in the wind; such a gorgeous laundry hanging day! There will be more. I will be heading out to feed and water shortly, then off to work for a short time. I REALLY need to can those tomatoes...didnt get to it this weekend--the 5 and 7 year olds are higher energy kids...I watched them jump on the trampoline for a really long time!

Congrats at the show all of you. That roo and hen look just like Ron and one of the Ronettes! I am surprised how small their feet look though...maybe it's just the angle of the shot? Next year, next year....

Better head out...enjoy the day! TerriO
