Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

There are already people coming into the co-op wanting to order their spring chicks! I feel like.chick season just got done. I think my last order came in in October. Lol My bantam order from ideal will have to be placed in January to assure I get the birds I want. I think I'm going to get my lemon blue bantam cochon project going again mid-Jaunuary. I'm also going to breed my SFH to my Jubilee orpington. I'm just hoping the people that buy the chicks don't pass them off as pure SFH in the future or use them for breeding and misrepresent them.

Ooooo lemon blue bantam Cochin..... I have one now, she is my all time fav hen. She even has a partially prolapsed vent which I have been unable to fix, but she is doing great even so. I would love to have more some day.

Just to clarify, I didn't proofread my post. I do know how to spell cochin. And one of my pet peeves is when breeders don't know how to spell the name of the animal they are selling. I'm a little embarrassed that that slipped by me.

Busy busy!
I hope you are all prepared for Christmas!
Thank goodness I am only working 8 hours tomorrow :) finish up after ;)
the girls are laying well! I can not believe for Wyandotte they lay an egg every day! The kiddos should have a lot to choose from for fair.
We are keeping two of the baby bunnies this time around. We have never kept any before. But Sydney wants to show bunnies also this year. Should be fun.
I am getting new tires on the Suburban. $100 total cost. They are used. But better than what I currently have.
Terri, sorry Tippy got the turkey. Naughty. The turkeys are Dozers obsession also. He has to stY by my side every time we are out. Otherwise he gets himself obsessed with the chase game.
Birdman, what are you keeping those worms in? Is it Rubbermaid? What are you using as a water source?
Well, nighty night!

good morning, snowing lightly here,, about 1 inch on the ground,, just quite enough for a white Christmas, i am thinking ..

BBP, I agree,, if a pet doesn't respond to anything, not even food, then you might just as well have a rock .. I wonder if that turtle would survive if you turned it loose where it should belong ?

not much going on around here,, no big plans for Christmas .. One of the DD's and her SO and maybe one grandchild might come for lunch.. Our big get together died one year after Annie's Mom died.. BIL rented out her house and nobody wanted to take it to their house ..
and time marches on, eh ?

Aw Jim, I always host these things at our place. It is a lot of work. But I wouldn't give it up for the world. I love that it is warm busy and loud when we are all together.
To me there is absolutely nothing better.
By the end of the day I am always beat. And can not believe the mess in my home where I had just spent days to make everything clean and perfect.
But my cheeks hurt from smiling. And I am content.
