it is all quiet again,, the family came, ate and left.. perfect..
nobody got bitten,, there was a few tense moments when DD#1 and her SO came in with their german shepherd ,, Put Frankie and her pups in the spare bedroom and shut the door.. only occasional barking to let us know she knew the other dog was still here,,
Hi all! I hope you are all recovering from a fantastic Christmas! We had a good time here too...now it is nice and quiet...I am having soft boiled eggs for dinner...DH had a sandwich. I am actually pretty full from our traditional brunch! Some eggs and cheese curds will be just the ticket.
Cuties that turkey has Mycoplasma Gallisepticum (infectious sinusitis) I am battling it right now inone of my hens. I am guessing that that turkey is a bit smaller than others its same age? THis is why most turkey farm give a low dose antibiotic to aid in growth. Many turkeys are susceptible to this. I am medicating with Tylan 50 in the water right now for her. They usually clear up within 3-4 days but you can treat them up to 5 days. It works great. Unfortunately it can come back if they are stressed. Good luck! I have been pressing out her sinuses a few times a week but have decided that she needed to be medicated as that wasnt helping.
I think I hear the egg cooker! Have a great night! TerriO
The brat is back, the dog is nuts, the ducks have fun in the snowy slush and I went out of my mind with boredom just having to watch reruns of reruns of guys shows on tv. Then I was saved by a friend
(aka sclark) getting invited to spend Christmas there... I can honestly say I hadnt been that excited about Christmas in a while!
Turned out to be great with good food, good friends and good ol fashioned fun. Went wheeling in the snow and just being silly, followed by a nagging SO
as we were playing dice. And of course I had to bring her some eggs
for her empty bator (can't have that now!) and some cookies n cheesecake brownies and duck-nog.
Then back home and taking care of the duckies and other doggies and going back to being bored. Oh well...
It started snowing on and off yesterday afternoon and wasn't supposed to snow but guess what?! It's snowing again for the past hour
and with them temps going down again it might even stay a bit longer.
That's it for now. Hope you all had a great family (or in Jims case, alone) time and no more bad things happening for now. So off I go. Later!
hey everyone got the boards today for the bases of the next three coops so that is what I shall be working on over the weekend...hope everyone had a great christmas
Fish Fry Friday....and the day after Christmas to everyone...hope everyone had a great day yesterday, as well as today! We will be having our main celebration next Saturday the 3rd. It works well for all the other families...and we are always good to go here.
Suzie loves lobster Cind, but doesn't get it very often, every couple years or so....I'm a steak guy myself...if I have lobster, then I also need a cheeseburger to get the full feeling...but that's me...hope it was tasty.
I see the store bought eggs are up to $2 a doz here. That's what I charge for mine...maybe have to up it a $1 to be fair, eh!
