Lake is open here guys! Didnt see any boats out there yet but it is open. Pulled pork and potatoes here for supper. DH is ****** the TV is having a problem...and some puppies chewed his computer cord...Everyone together now... AAAWWWWWW!

JJ I am going to try and be there at 6:30. I think I have someone coming to look at puppies at 8 and then I have to be in Fort for a home visit at 10...so much for a weekend off!

Have a good one...and maybe I will get to be of the 10% of fishermen this year...I am hoping...

We used to have one of the best FFF places just down the road. It was a small place that felt like it belonged up north. The last Friday of the month they would have jumbo shrimp as one of the FFF specials. Those suckers were like mini lobsters, they were so big. You only got 3 of them but that was more than enough. On those Fridays, it would be packed elbow to elbow. That place had the best darn food no matter what you ordered, but then they sold the building & moved onto Lake Beulah, then the owner died. Sad because he was only in his 30s. His mom took over the place but it suffered greatly. We went there once & were not impressed at all. Really good FFF places are getting hard to find. I made some ocean perch, potato wedges & salad for dinner.

Congrats on the repurposed shed, gc! Do you already own it? You will have to take before & after pics. Good luck with the powers that be.

Cind, does your O2 tank require electricity? Can we run an extension cord to the electric hookup at Frenchies site or from the lodge? We all chip in to pay the electric anyway so.........

Nope, don't own it yet, but they're selling at menards for less than $400. I'll absolutely take photos of the process, so long as my DH and FIL don't build it all while I'm at work!

this dog is just short of savage,, she should be put down,, she is large enough to kill a full grown man,,
If I had her, she would have been put down at the first bite..
this guy has been bitten 5 times already, and he has had her for only 9 days,, and once she jumped off of his bed and slammed him against a dresser and held him there, all the while growling right in his face..

on a lighter note,, the bator is holding steady at 99.5F and the humidity has made it up to 39%
I am good with that..
correction,, I did not set 120 eggs, it was 120 chicken eggs and 24 guinea eggs,, = 144 total..

I had walleye tonight for FFF.. it was very good.. after eating the fish, I couldn't finish my french fries and cottage cheese..

I have a friend in Cambria who is looking for a white Sebastapol gander and some call ducks..

For once I would agree that this sounds like a case where the dog should be put down, for her own good. I doubt it if Cesar would even tackle this one.

I think the only folks on here yet with calls are Cuties and BBP.

Mom is finally getting better; now the trick is getting her to SIT for the next few days so she does not have a relapse.......

I had no idea about all the ugly details about the dog, just that she bit him & had him against a dresser. No mention about any growling or anything you just mentioned above. I retract my not nice statement.

Hi All!

Yea, it's a machine that makes it's own oxygen. It's on wheels, but wouldn't want to move it much, pretty big. I have tanks for walkin' around. FT still has our big blue extension cord from last year. I have to have electric anyway for the nebulizer.

I hope my son can come clean coop soon... it's pretty bad, hadn't been done all winter.

we are a liberal group and welcome anybody from anywhere.. we have members from all of the surrounding states..

chicks can be obtained from any hatchery,, some of your local Farm and/or feed stores also will have chicks in the spring,, ours will start on April 9, I was told..

then there are the nice enablers right here on chz hds who are always willing to s/t/i/c/k/ I mean help you with more birds than you need..

our bash is a perfect place to obtain birds, pets, plants or whatever you and your corresponding party decide to swap ..

just post what you want,, for example, I am looking for call ducks (or eggs) and a White Sebastopol Gander.. the lady I am doing this search for is a very nice person who takes super care of her animals.. and she will drive where ever to pick up the birds.. she lives near Cambria, Wisc. ..

my bator is humming right along.. I sure hope these eggs are fertile and not futile..

CC I was not ticked.. but you should know me by now,, If I say a dog should be put down, it has a good reason.. I do not enjoy seeing them put down,
I told Annie just last night,,
If I had a dog like that in my house, I would be afraid to go to bed..
she was on Ed's bed and when he tried to coax/nudge her off she lunged at him and pinned him to the dresser..He said that he was so scared that he didn't even move until she got over it and let him go.. Ed is no small man,,
What if he was in bed and she jumped up onto it ?? then when he would try to push her off, she could rip his throat out and that would be the end of Ed .. this is not an impossible scenario, it could happen .. this is one mean out of control dog..

I think I will set up the hatcher .. then I won't have to scramble in 3 weeks from now when I will need it..

Frenchie has Sebbies, too, I think .. but she is too busy on FB to respond to any peon on chz hds ..

Morning to all. I think that mean dog would do well in a place like on the PBS video where they live outside and tend to the flocks. I'm sure with it's freedom, it would prolly work out alright. However that is about the only situation that would work for a dog like that..in my opinion.

I was gonna candle last night and didn't get er done....so tonight, I guess will be the night.

Hoping the snow melts today!

Yep, the FFF places aren't as numerous as they once were, and the few good ones that are left around here are 3 deep at the bar and quite a long wait for the food or a table.
